Here’s a hint … probably for the same reason that St. John says (see John 3) that Jesus was baptizing, and then just a few verses later says that Jesus did not baptize, but only His disciples did.
St. John is giving us the answer to the questions: who did the baptizing? Who distributed this “miracle bread”?

I agree. The “I am” is a form of the divine name received by Moses at the scene of the Burning Bush (should one capatilize buring bush as it is a proper name isn’t itNot to be moving on so fast (I don’t want to imply the Gospel of Mark, here

As God the father had led the people of Israel through the raging waters of the Red Sea, so now God the Son escorted the apostles safely through the storm waters of Lake Galilee. John’s description isn’t the calming of the waters , as much as a wondorous transfer of the alarmed apostles to the safety of the shore. Now that is a call to faith!!

I am not sure where this took place, but often public speakers would use a hill or cliff or other natural feature behind the crowd to help the speaker’s voice be heard.

In one of the scenes of the Gospels, Jesus teaches from Peter’s boat. The shore was sloped and very “accoustically enhanced” for public speakings. I would imagine this situation was similar.

I read this today… In ancient times, a system of heralds, or “loud speakers”, made it possible. Placed strategically throughout the crowd, the heralds relayed the message to the vast assembly.Like wind blowing over a field of grain, his word was carried by the heralds to his listeners. Aint that a pretty picture!!
That sounds like a game we played when we were children called pass it on.
