Most of it is unrecognizable as catholic. Many of the usual suspects are presenting - Matthew Fox, Rosemary Reuther, etc. (New Age and Goddess/Gnostic stuff). Is a group like this still relevant or can they be basically ignored?

You know, being a big time dissenter/apostate/former Catholic myself, I had a lot of hope for VOTF, until now. Good lord, this stuff wouldn’t be stomached by even the the most liberal protestant churches! God help them all.

Thanks for the link.

I’ve bookmarked the page, and if any of the participants ever shows up on an agenda in my Diocese, I’ll write the Archbishop – unless of course the invitation is from the diocese (VERY unlikely at present, fortunately) in which case, I’ll write the Curia.

Blessings,

Gerry

I’ll be at a silent Legion of Mary retreat the whole time of this conference. What a difference. I’ll beg the Lord to forgive them and call them to holiness instead of action. The Blessed Mother must have planned it this way.šŸ™‚

Gerry:

I know a parish here in LA that’s been infused with much of this junk. They’ve even convinced a friend of mine that, Pope John Paul II said that she wasn’t a good Catholic if she wasn’t sending out demonstrators for ā€œJustice and Peaceā€. One of the nuns had the nerve to turn on her heels and walk out on her when she found out that my friend’s son was defusing bombs and training police officers for the US military along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border!

And, yes, they’re here by invitation of Archbishop Mahony, who can’t be contacted by the average Catholic except through his Public Affairs Office.

In Christ, Michael

Excuse me while I hack out a hairball.
Bones:

I have a cat doing that right now!

Almost as ugly as the one from that conference!

Anyone looking at that now knows what cleared out the pews at ECUSA! Now they want to do the same thing to the Catholic Church!

All I can say is, ā€œDon’t listen to them!ā€

Michael
