There are organisms alive on this Earth which are at least three and a half billion years old.

And half of them die every twenty minutes.
I’m not quite certain of your point. But if something were 3.5 billion years old it would be no closer to “forever” than I am.

What has a genome, manifests metabolic processes (alive) and is 3.5 billion years old?

E coli. They reproduce by fission, so it is not possible to distinguish a mother from a daughter cell.

Doubling time in laboratory culture is about twenty minutes, which implies that death rate once they colonise all of the available medium.
