I have just read two books by Scott Hahn and now I’m hooked!
I’ll be looking for more:)
Anyone else out there read his books? and what has been your favorite.

Get them all… 👍

Aside from the Lambs Supper I would like to recommend A Father Who Keeps His Promises and his latest Swear to God. I actually saw him at a speaking event and he was incredible.

God Bless…

“Lord, Have Mercy: The Healing Power of Confession” changed my life. 🙂

My fav is actually one of his lecture series on CD

“Building a Catholic Biblical worldview”

I listen to that one in the car a lot! 👍

Lamb’s supper is DEFINITELY cool. I listened to a lecture series on the Gospel of John by him and it was just amazing. Can’t say nothing good can come out of Calvinism. The Presbyterian church gave us Scott Hahn. 😃

i’ve just read his book ‘home sweet rome’. searching for other books by him. but its quite difficult to get books like that in malaysia…

“The Lamb’s Supper” was my first experience with Scott Hahn, and it got me hooked too!

“Hail Holy Queen” and “The Healing Power of Confession” are definately two other books I’d put on the recommend list…

I don’t know if he has a book on this, but he has a tape entitled “The Fourth Cup” that is a beautiful explanation of Holy Communion and the fulfillment of the Passover in establishing the New Covenant. It was vital to my remaining a Catholic and beginning to understand Jesus’ true presence in the Holy Eucharist!

I have four of his books. I’ve started several of them but have yet to finish any of them. I love listening to his tapes. I want to finish “Hail Holy Queen”. I guess when I done with school.

He and Kim both have chapters in a book called Catholic For A Reason that is really good. I read Home Sweet Rome and enjoyed it too. I’ve read some of his articles and have his conversion story on both tape & CD and give it away readily… He certainly does explain aspects of the faith that I have’t heard of before in a way that helps a lot. Sharp guy…& Kim’s really good too. I like her way of thinking of the Blessed Virgin as a warrior maiden. That’s my queen and my mother! 👍

lamb’s supper is my fav - but i wish i could find (and shoot) whoever came up with the little subtitles in the chapters. 🙂 they make me wince every time…

Hail Hol y Quen and the tape on the fourth cup mentioned in post #11 is great.

Hey kayla!

With Hahn it is difficult to pick one and say: “This one is the best!” 🙂

Still I want to espesially reccomand:** “Lord, Have Mercy: The Healing Power of Confession” ** and his book "Catholic for a Reason. Scripture and the Mystery of the Family og God."

Hahn also offer Biblestudies both at St. Paul Center & togheter with Jeff Cavins and Mark P. Shea at Catholic Exchange.

Scott Hahn, Ph.D., is one busy guy. He keeps churning out the books while teaching, speaking at numerous seminars throughout the U.S., recording a vast number of video and audio tapes, tending his numerous online enterprises – especially the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology, appearing regularly on EWTN, and raising seven children with his convert wife, Kimberly.

As a former Protestant minister himself (Presbyterian), he has converted countless Protestant ministers and others to the Catholic Faith. It’s fearful to contemplate, but he used to pull Catholics out of the Faith (he says he’s still doing penance for that) with as much vigor as he now pulls them in. He is truly an enlightened man, touched by God with the Truth, and eagerly sharing that Truth with anyone willing to listen. He’s on fire for the Faith.

I recommend anything he has written. His books on the Mass (The Lamb’s Supper), Confession (Lord Have Mercy) and Mary (Hail Holy Queen) are particular favorites. Hear him speak, if you have the opportunity.

Let me add my praise for “The Fourth Cup,” available online. It’s compelling, powerful.
