I don’t mind going against the current if it’s in the name of truth. And I also don’t mind addressing each one of the headings you provided. But let’s first get back to where I left off. Back to my question. Do you still say that Jewish Tradition associated homosexuality with Sodom and Gomorrah?
Yes.

Thank you for your honest bias. Because as you and I have clearly seen, the historical facts clearly disagree with you. Perhaps as we continue our discussion along with the links on Catholic writings and homilies that you said you would provide, this fact will be more inescapable for you.

They do not read billboards, papers or other forms of advertising?

When an advertiser pays to place an ad they are supporting the publisher and their agenda if any.
So BOycott their soup. I’m going to double up on minnestroni, peersonally. So we can cancel each other out.

That I will see an affirmative blessing on homosexual acts?

Yes - I am indeed biased by the teachings of my faith.

Of course you are. So much so that you are willing to ignore the historical and scriptural facts. As you can see, being told the “truth in love”, isn’t an easy thing to undergo now is it?

I love Campbell Soups. The basic tomato with a grilled cheese is excellent. Healthy Requests are good too. Love New England Clam chowder and Grilled Chicken Sausage Gumbo. 👍

If people want to damn their souls to hell by being homosexual, then that is what they have chosen.
Suppressing advertising on it won’t make homosexuals stop having those sinful feelings.

Morally, it’s wrong. But we don’t live in a christian-dictatorship,as Scripture points out that people must make a CHOICE of how to live their life. If campbell’s wants to publicly embrace the homosexual agenda, fine. They just can’t expect me to buy thier soup anymore.

What about all advertisers who advertised on Will & Grace? Do we boycott Showtime and HBO? NBC?

WallMart sells dvds of Will&Grace. Do we not shop there?

After 9/11 in New York and Washington D.C., there was a lot of pressure on food banks because of the terrorist attacks. If you go to a Cambell’s Soup site, you can click an icon representing your favorite football team and cans of soup will be donated to food banks in the teams’ cities.

So do you boycott this company?

btw, 5,500,000 cans of soup ended up being donated.

A company also does it’s employee’s and investors diservice by not advertising it’s products.

Chances are they did a huge media by trying to target specific groups and ages that represent the most opportunity to make profit. Seriously gay people’s money is just as green as everyone else. If gay people buy more soup and more money gets donated to schools, (including Catholic ones) who’s really getting the last laugh.

Don’t get me wrong, I find Homosexuality morally wrong…but we live in a country where you have the right to do what you wish as long as it doesn’t infinge on other’s rights.

That being said…do not expect me to boycott Campbells. I love their Tomato Basil Soup to much. 😃
Mmmm… Tomato Basil. Perfect soup to have on Fridays in Lent (or Fridays in general).

The bottom line is, much as I’d like to buy cans of soup made, say, by nuns in a convent or something so I know exactly where my money is going, those usually cost more and since I’m on a limited income, I’m afraid it’s Campbell’s for me. The most I can do is hope the portion of my money that goes to Campbell’s goes to a worker who loves and works hard for their family. You can’t tell much about the lifestyles of the workers in the grocery store who unloaded, shelved and sold the cans, the truckers who shipped it in, etc. etc. etc.

Maybe I’m overthinking it, but if you carried the boycott idea to its logical conclusion, the best solution to avoid paying for someone else’s possibly sinful lifestyle – and remember, we are all sinners – is to grow your own food and make your own clothes, up to and including raising the sheep to provide the wool and planting the cotton, plus spinning your own thread and weaving your own cloth. I’m not sure how many people could really live that way in this day and age.

You said it all…👍

**RE: statement bolded in red: Funny thing is…that is never mentioned…but carried to it’s conclusion…is that what some posters who are bent on boycotting everything under the sun going to do? I seriously doubt it. **

Does one boycott the internet because it’s full of porn?🤷

I have been reading your links and I do have questions which I cannot address at the moment. However, to say what you present is historical is just as biased as you say others are. I find discrepancies in what you present.
The sin of Sodom was homosexuality, according to many Christians (but not according to the Bible).
This is not the entire truth
They called to Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to your house tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have intimacies with them.
The people you quote seem to try to say that it had nothing to do with homosexuals. It was not their sin repentance was just as Jesus said. But it is clear that homosexual acts were involved and what was it that they were unrepentant for?

Wow. I am so sad. Now we have to keep gays from eating soup. What next???

Hey is there a way we can blame this on Obama? 👍

You’re right a mob + angels = homosexuality. :coffeeread:

I’m sorry but this Sodom and homosexuality business has been addressed countless times by myself and others. I would reccommend you do a serch for “truagape” or “homosexuality”. You’ll see that I have had plenty to say and that I have responded to inqueies such as yours many times over.

…don’t forget we also have to keep them from driving cars as well…and we are not allowed to visit San Francisco because that is where they “all live”. 😦 Sad, truly sad…that because they are homosexuals they are forcing us to starve and live in caves. 🤷

I am still waiting for the “official” Church boycott list vs. rumor, speculation and fear/scare tactics. So far, it boils down to a hand full of “human beings” who are enciting/encouraging those who can’t/won’t think for themselves. Using the arguement that these boycotts “for the greater good” of their soul.

I guess some of us “humans” out there “know better” than others…and priests and bishops (for them) still walk on water.

Keep your crystal ball shined up…I am sure there is more to come.

Not the same. Those directly hurt people. Allowing homosexuals to live in peace does nothing to hurt anyone.
Fair enough. Say the daughter really loves her father; the brother really loves her sister. Say the child wants to do the porn; the marriage is open, and the KKK don’t kill or beat.

You tolerate?

Seriously…I’m sure this ridiculous thread is some how all his fault. By the way can we please kill this thread and all go back to enjoying our soup.

Thanks,

I realize you have a dog in this discussion. I don’t think you have characterized what I posted correctly. You have created a straw man to what I said. I quoted the bible. The bible says:
They called to Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to your house tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have intimacies with them
If you have responded to inquiries many times over as you have done here than you have not responded. My comment was because of the link you posted which tries to say that homosexuality wasn’t involved at all. Which is not true. They also say that Jesus was condemning them for inhospitality which also was untrue. What was being condemned was they were unrepentant. Which of course raises the question of what did they need to repent of. The answer to that question is what you try to run from.
