The Church already has a public relations firm - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Is there something in the truth the Church should fear? It is the truth that sets us free. Or is it persecution the Church should fear? Then the Church is not worthy of its task. Is it sin the Church should fear? Then the Incarnation, Passion and Resurrection were in vain.

Was the silence of Christ before his persecutors cowardice or strength? Our Lord did not seek vindication but with quiet equanimity embraced the truth. I believe this is also what the Pope is doing.

This is all very true. But God also uses human systems to protect his Church. I believe this is why the Holy Father now has an attorney in the USA. This just came out and there was an interview of the attorney. He’s an American who was trained in Rome. He’s from Berkeley University. There are a lot of other details in the article too, not just the pope. It does not say who at the Vatican hired him.
