Jesus taught his followers to call God our Father. He called God his father. I’ve been told that muslims get very angry to hear us call God father. Is this true? If so, why?
If it just meant a spiritual child of God, that would be ok, but they’ve been brainwashed to think Child/Son of God = Demigod so it is taboo.Jesus taught his followers to call God our Father. Never heard of Demigods in Christianity. Care to elaborate?If it just meant a spiritual child of God, that would be ok, but they’ve been brainwashed to think Child/Son of God = Demigod so it is taboo.
Most Muslims have an overlord not a loving Father. Most Jews have no Messiah. In a big way because fully God/fully Man is translated as demigod of Gentile mythology to everyone other than Christians.Never heard of Demigods in Christianity. Care to elaborate?
Do Jews (or Muslims?) believe God dwelt in Moses? Like God’s spirit was with him or how? Was this singular to Moses or was it the same with some of the prophets in their view?Most Muslims have an overlord not a loving Father. Most Jews have no Messiah. If Christians taught that God dwelled in a man and he became God’s Word on earth same way Moses was, the world might be a different place, but they don’t, Christians want the man to literally also be God with an additional Father God. And that’s not accepted as monotheism by Muslims and Jews, but polytheism.
So that’s how it is.![]()
Do they think we are saying we are demigods?If it just meant a spiritual child of God, that would be ok, but they’ve been brainwashed to think Child/Son of God = Demigod so it is taboo.
With all the prophets, God simply dwelled in them and they spoke with God’s Word and authority. Most notably Moses, God said that Moses would be instead of God giving prophecy to Aaron, and Aaron would be like a prophet to relay God’s Word to the people.Do Jews (or Muslims?) believe God dwelt in Moses? No, but when “Father” is mentioned it goes right into the tunnel vision of perceiving a demigod and they stay away from it.Do they think we are saying we are demigods?
Allah derives from Al Ilah meaning “The God” related to Hebrew Eloh and Elohim.Can Allah be called Father?
No. Allah means destroyer.
HiIn Islamic theology, Allah is not a Father. He may be described by His attributes (some are fatherly in nature), but the title of “Father” is not one. Humans are servants/slaves and are rewarded as a servant is rewarded.

If Christians taught that God dwelled in a man and he became God’s Word on earth
the Bible says the Word is the eternal , uncreated Word by whom everything is created. Should we teach otherwise because some do not want to understand it?
Christians want the man to literally also be God with an additional Father God.

The Holy Trinity is one of the most difficult concept to explain. The best way I can explain it is to use the element of “water.” Water in liquid form, solid form, and vapor form have exactly the same composition. All three, regardless of what form they are in, consist of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen. In the same way, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit also have the exact same composition (nature). They are exactly the same.If Christians taught that God dwelled in a man and he became God’s Word on earth same way Moses was, the world might be a different place, but they don’t, Christians want the man to literally also be God with an additional Father God. Please don’t post nonsense. *Allah *does not mean destroyer and has nothing to do with Apollyon. Allah is a conjunction of the Arabic words *Al *(the/definite article) and *ilah *(god); etymologically related to and having the same meaning as the Hebrew *Eloah * and the Aramaic AlahaCan Allah be called Father?
No. Allah means destroyer.
From Strong’s…
Abaddon= destroying one of Rev.9
Abaddon = **“destruction”**1) ruin
2) destruction
3) the place of destruction
4) the name of the angel-prince of the infernal regions, the minister of death and the author of havoc on the earth **
Apollyon = “Destroyer”**1) the angel of the bottomless pit, the Destroyer
Allah and Saddam both mean destroyer/destruction.
Islam means submission or surrender.
So a suicide bomber is in submission to Allah the destroyer. Sound familiar?

This point cannot be stressed often enough:
If you find that you are spending an inordinate amount of time explaining the fundamentals of your faith… and you are still being asked the same questions over and over again, then this really is a sign that something is not quite right about THE PERSON WE ARE TALKING TO.
That still makes for (insert term) God and (insert term) man, which is a demigod in all practical terms.Hello FaithofAbraham,
Actually, pagan mythology believes in halfgod and *half *man, which is different from Christianity. We believe that Jesus was true God and true man. He was not half of this and half of that.
