“And whosoever shall say, Thou Fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.” - Matthew 5:22. Is this to be taken literally? Can this be said for all cases?
The translation I’m looking at says “and if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell”. I would have to wonder whether saying “Thou Fool” really had the same implications then that it does now, as well as whether it was just really trying to get the point across the curses in general can lead a person to hell. I don’t think anyone would consider calling someone a fool today to be cursing them.“And whosoever shall say, Thou Fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.” - Matthew 5:22. Is this to be taken literally? Can this be said for all cases?
Why do you need a poll for a question like this? What purpose do you intend to put the statistics to?“And whosoever shall say, Thou Fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.” - Matthew 5:22. Is this to be taken literally? Can this be said for all cases?
I dunnoWhy do you need a poll for a question like this? What purpose do you intend to put the statistics to?
Please. I know you are a big shot forum master but this is kinda mean. Why do you need a poll for a question like this? What purpose do you intend to put the statistics to?

Polls are taken for a purposes and the results used. Why does anybody need a poll?
Back in the late 1900s, there were many issues I would have liked to poll random folks about, but it’s too troublesome IRL. Let the OP be.![]()

Thank you both.Please. I know you are a big shot forum master but this is kinda mean.
- if you are acting in an offical capacty you should be doing this via PM
- if you are acting as a regular poster there are nicer ways of doing things.
Well in that case, I created the poll for both purposesPolls are taken for a purposes and the results used.
Otherwise the Op should just ask the question and let us discuss it.

I know a lot of old ladies who shop where I work who need to have this tattooed on their arms in big, black block letters. It was either Dr. Norman Vincent Peale or Dale Carnegie who said, “Never criticize, condemn or complain”.
That too :yup:Because he likes polls.
