Anecdotal evidence is evidence from anecdotes, i.e., evidence collected in a casual or informal manner and relying heavily or entirely on personal testimony.

That is personal testimony is the opposite of generalisations, it is a narrow brush. Yes I know what I am talking about.

i’ll accept that at face value

do you expect that the dem party platform will ever change w/ regard to the pro-life issue?

i am not attempting to antagonize

i just wonder if you are willing to accept your party being perpetually 111% pro-abortion up to & beyond the moment of birth?

you’re ok w/ that 'cause social-justice-wise the limousine liberals are groovy w/ your social agenda?

No, you don’t. You’re just doubling-down and everyone sees it.

Which means the rational part of the discussion is over.

I’ll leave you to it.

No. And given trends, the republican party just might. 1-in-3 republicans are pro-choice now. And that number is trending upward according to Pew.

Politically, it’s becoming an irrelevant issue. It might forever and always be a relevant religious issue. But not a political one.

I don’t accept it. It’s part of the plank I don’t like. But I don’t vote on just one issue. Every intelligent voter should do the same.

As far as post delivery “abortion”, there is much less support for that among the dems than a lot of reps like to tout. Folks that talk about it generally receive eye-rolls from their party brethren, in my experience.

  1. I’m not “ok” with it.
  2. Limousine liberals don’t get to choose what I or anyone else believes. We choose for ourselves. And upon that choosing, we find that the democratic platform mirrors it more closely than the republican one.

Really? Same sex marriage? Transexualism? Planned parenthood? Wow!
I don’t support a secular government employing marriage in its laws in any way. But if it’s going to, then the governmental definition of “marriage” needs to account for the philosophy that “all men are created equal”. This includes the homosexuals, I’m afraid.

Concerning transexualism, I’m unable to find that on the party’s plank.

Now it does say “Guaranteeing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Rights”, which I’m all for.

In the America I want, the oddballs should be free to be oddballs and I should be free to call them that.

Concerning Planned Parenthood, we’re barred by federal law from directly funding abortions. Generally impoverished women use PP for health services. I’m 100% for that.

From factcheck: Abortions represent 3 percent of total services provided by Planned Parenthood.

I’m happy to support the other 97%.

i’m pretty sure this is not true

nearly 100% of PPs services are induced abortions of live, healthy, pre-born children

You are so all over the place which betrays an emotional brainwashing that I spoke about.

Firstly your pudding test is irrational. Blacks started to vote Democrat after the new Deal and now they massively vote that way. The Democrats use victim politics and other people’s money to keep them there. This is a very bad situation. It is no way is an indication that Republicans do not want to help black people. What Republicans do not want to do is use victim politics to rob one group of people to appease a manufactured morality based on victim politics. The Democrats have been doing this for decades now since the new deal and left only impoverishment. Their record is not good in helping this group out of poverty,. In fact to be honest, it’s been a betrayal. They have stuck them in the humiliating position of being addicted to others money and gaining only a victim mentality which is detrimental to these people and society in general.

Saying Prager U is garbage is just another way for you not to engage. What did they say that was factually incorrect? No, the Democrats have a terrible history when it comes to the real sins of American slavery. Imagining this is a white thing or a southern thing is a way of trying to absolve the Democrats from this.

Oh the absurdity… this says nothing except emotionally not engaging with the facts. Looking at the two parties the worst you can say is that Republicans (name removed by moderator)ut into voting boundaries are to favour their own party. Every political party’s (name removed by moderator)ut into voting boundaries is for their own advantage. This is the worst you have? Put that up against the Democrats owning slaves, fighting a war for slavery, resisting black civil rights for over a century, starting and running the Ku Klux Klan, introducing Jim Crow laws et cetera. Then in the last few decades they want race based quotas and affirmative action based on… wait for it … race. They talk of white privilege and favouring one race over another.

Against this all you have is that Republicans (name removed by moderator)ut to boundary commissions is just like every other party in wanting the best for their own party which is obviously to any non brainwashed person not racist. Are you seriously suggesting that Republicans are looking at race here and not voting patterns! You have been taught to see racism everywhere. That is a large part of what is wrong with America regarding race relations.

Lastly your comment that civil rights was not based on a Republicans and Democrats split is largely correct only for the 1960’s. Republicans introduced civil rights one hundred years earlier and it was the racism of the Democrats which had to be overcome which it was. If we talk about the first time around that the shining moral light of Republicanism ended slavery in the mid 19th century northern Democrats were against them stopping slavery. So it was a Republican/Democrat split back at the great sin of slavery and denying blacks civil rights. 100 years later the Democrats caught up but you are ignoring the shining moral light of Republicanism that eventually brought the racist Democrats to heel, only for them to now continue their racism in a different guise.

If you think a man can become a woman or a woman a man, by surgically adding or subtracting body parts, makes me wonder who the “oddball” really is.

Look I know I am the only one being rational here between us but I am inviting you to also be rational.

I don’t think they can.

But I don’t think they should be discriminated against. Which is what the platform advocates.

No. The issue of the black man has almost always been split along north-south rather than democrat-republican.

The northern and southern dems even ran separate presidential candidates in 1860. To say that “slavery was a democrat institution” requires an astounding ignorance. Take a gander at the popular vote for the northern dem candidate… These are actual people.

Interesting talk on how the black people voting Democrats is like having Stockholm Syndrome.

I am assuming the map is for the Presidential race where the Republicans won for the first time.
What was the congressional vote and seats? The video claimed only 23% of northern Democrats in the Congress voted to end slavery while 100% of Republicans in the congress voted to end slavery.

Makes a man wonder why there are only 3 black republicans in congress out of 302 republicans seats if race isn’t an issue in the republican party. 🤔

That’s not an argument for the racism of the Republican Party. This is you wanting to see racism.
Think a little bit harder to find the answer. If you are still unsure ask a six year old.
