Ralph,That’s right, the Knights of Columbus do not use the Holy Bible for blasphemy as the Freemasons do without any worry. I particularly am piqued by this part of the Master Mason’s initiation Oath that is sworn by any Christian (ahem) Mason on a Bible in front of the Masonic Altar during his Initiation. (the 3rd Degree)
“I, ________________, of my own free-will and accord, in the presence of Almighty God do hereby and hereon most solemnly and sincerely promise and swear, …that I will not have illegal carnal intercourse with a Master Mason’s wife, his mother, sister, or daughter, nor suffer the same to be done by others, if in my power to prevent.” sacred-texts.com/mas/dun/dun04.htm
And this is sworn on a Bible in which God declares all adultery a sin but the Master Mason gets to use the same Holy Book to only promise not to fool around with his Masonic brothers’ spouses and daughters and mothers. What a ridiculous and reprehensible (old-boys club) oath!
Bottom line is all that is required to enter Freemasonry is that you agree you believe in a god (G.A.O.T.U. - Grand Architect of the Universe). As the British mainstream and secular writer Martin Short pointed out in his bestseller in England Inside the Brotherhood amazon.ca/Inside-Brotherhood-Explosive-Secrets-Freemasons/dp/0586070656 ,after years of research and interviews with tons of Freemasons themselves, it does not matter one bit if you believe G.A.O.T.U. to be Satan or Jesus Christ. As the Masonic poster alluded, Freemasonry does not discriminate. That’s why Aleister Crowley had no problems going through the first 3 degrees of Freemasonry before he went on to darker Satanic rituals. It doesn’t matter.
In fact the more one reads the works of recognized Masonic ritualists like Wilmhurst and Pike and others, it would probably be easier to become a Mason and learn the “mysteries” of Freemasonry if one enjoys dabbling in the occult than if one is a Christian. An occultist can at least understand some of Masonry’s symbolism.
Just an observation.
Thanks for your observation.
I do not know where you got your source material from, but i’ve never seen anything like that before; tho’ in all honesty if I had, I would not be disposed to discuss it with the profane.
Can you verify this question? Do the Knights of Columbus discriminate against non-Catholics seeking membership in their organization?
I’m very curious if you’ll answer it.
