Doesn’t a mortal sin have to be bad from the beginning??Catholic Moral Theology would say that yes the choice is mortal sin…and if it carried to action that yes that is a mortal sin. For it is a grave matter (you are afterall doing what you believe is mortal sin) done with full knowledge and deliberate consent.
But Yes of course “objectively” the action does not become “a grave matter” when it is not…
Subjectively the person commits a mortal sin…
