Can they?
They can be Catholic, but they will be in a state of mortal sin and will not be allowed to receive Holy Communion. Until/unless they confess their sins and remain in a state of Grace.I mean a practicing homosexual, not someone with SSA just.
Ok, thanks for the link.This link has some information about the Church’s position on Homosexuality;

So I can’t recieve communion? They can be Catholic, but they will be in a state of mortal sin and will not be allowed to receive Holy Communion. Until/unless they confess their sins and remain in a state of Grace.

It’s just like an adulterer, or fornicator.I mean a practicing homosexual, not someone with SSA just.
Yes it does a bit, thank you.Considering it falls under the 6th commandment, (for practicing or acting out certain sins of sexual immorality) then…one wouldn’t be allowed to receive communion, unless going to confession, and repenting of the sin. Same holds true under that commandment for:
adultery
masturbation
fornication
certain sexual addictions, and so on…
Hope that helps.
If you have committed a mortal sin, you should not receive Communion unless you confess all your mortal sins, and intend to attempt to sin no more.So I can’t recieve communion?
No, not without committing further mortal sin. No priest has the authority to change the doctrine of the Church.I go to a gay friendly catholic church, I can’t accept communion there?
If you are a practicing homosexual, or having sex outside of marriage (a marriage between one man and one woman), then no, you may not receive Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. You must go to Confession, and then remain in a state of Grace (not in a state of mortal sin) in order to receive Holy Communion. So I can’t recieve communion?
If it was that easy I would.
No one can change this - it is not a parish by parish “thing”. This is God’s law, not the law of the Church.
If you are attending a “gay friendly” parish, you need to understand what that means. If they are allowing known practicing homosexuals to receive Holy Communion, they are also commiting grave mortal sin.
Get out of that parish, change your life, and come back to the Grace and Fullness of the Catholic Faith.

Broad and easy is the path that leads to destruction; narrow and difficult is the path that leads to eternal life. Sexual temptation is a very difficult thing to deal with, but the better you get at resisting temptation, the easier it is to remain in a state of grace. If you fall, go to confession (at a proper parish) - pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and try again. It’s the life every Catholic is called to lead.If it was that easy I would. I’ve tried many times.
gay friendly interesting phrase! Is the parish in accord with the Vatican? If not (some off shoot ‘catholic’ parishes are popping up from men (and women now) who don’t follow the Vatican and the Vatican considers them to not be in communion with the universal church) then that’s a hard question to answer–because many of these ‘new’ parishes, are not following the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church. So taking communion in such churches really has no meaning, if done with the disapproval of the Vatican.I go to a gay friendly catholic church, I can’t accept communion there?
There is help out there for you. I’ll see if I can find some links. No one is saying that your SSA must be erased from you - that may not be possible. But you CAN live a celibate life - and that will allow you to live fully in the Grace of Christ in His Church. If it was that easy I would.
I’ve tried many times.
