Why would we want to?
You tell us our lives are filled with sin, that there’s something wrong with us mentally, and that we should be celibate and not dissent.
We’re not allowed to kiss other men (or other women). We’re not allowed to go on dates with another man or another woman. We’re not allowed to hold hands in a romantic way or share a bed together with another man or another woman. We’re not allowed to adopt children as a couple. We’re allowed to be discriminated against in all different walks of life - in the secular world,
even if they’re not catholic as the current Pope clearly stated in
this document. (Well, romantic hand holding and kissing isn’t not officially against church teaching, but a good Catholic should never do those things with someone of the same sex) And even if we fully believe all of this and don’t engage in it, we’re not allowed to enter the seminary because they’re afraid we might molest children.
Ha.
It’s kinda like a black man wanting to join the KKK today, or a Jew wanting to join a neo-nazi group.
Gay people people shouldn’t be Catholic. And if they are, I think they’re supporting an institution that oppresses them.
