Can he be the pastor?

If a man in the seminary has not completed full seminarian ordination, can he be the pastor of a church?
Anyway, back to the OP.
That would depend of the denomination or church. I knew a guy in a Baptist church who was in seminary while pastoring a small rural church. He was licensed, but the church wanted him to be ordained. Sometimes things happen in reverse order.
Now, they do require Bible college training at a college they would affiliate with. For example, an IFB church would probably not want a preacher from Oral Roberts University.

Gorgias:
You’re pointing out that there are places on the internet that say “get ordained in only 20 minutes!” and they’re pointing out that this kind of ordination ain’t worth the paper it’s printed on. Most (if not all!) congregations require a certain academic program of study, and many require an actual ‘ordination’ by their denomination.
Not even close
OK… help me understand what you’re saying (that’s different from what I summarized). I’m coming late to this discussion, so perhaps there’s something I’m missing.

You said:
I think anybody can be a Protestant pastor. You can even be “ordained” through the internet with a license and tax exempt staus.
and
There are dozens of websites where you can become a license, ordained protestant pastor, minister, reverend or whatever you want to call yourself .
And the response you got was, “you can do whatever you want on the internet, but that doesn’t mean that an arbitrary denomination or congregation will automatically accept those ‘credentials’ or ‘ordination’”.

Did you mean something else, then?

It doesn’t mean these ppl have not started churches. A protestant church can call itself whatever it wants and doesn’t have to be affiliated with “Mainstream” churches.

And most of those churches are small groups that meet in homes or a storefront that don’t give a hoot about ordination. Many IFB splinter groups look down upon ordination, it simply isn’t important to them.

Yet, they do exist also. I did not lie about any of this. I might have angered a few but, facts is facts!

Joel Osteen is one of these pastors with no formal education. He doesn’t have anywhere near a “small group”. He runs a mega church

You can find all sort of stupid stuff on the internet - even Roman Catholic Woman Priests!

The fact of the matter is that there’s no sacramental “protestant” church that doesn’t require serious study, a calling, and a laying on the hands to become a Pastor.

I was not aware of women priests and still am not aware. These are not priests
Of course they’re not priests.

Just as you finding some po-dunk website advertising ministry for sale doesn’t make anybody who buys such drivel a Lutheran priest.

You must not have any non denom churches near you. Here they are a dime a dozen
Then throw us ten cents worth of a link to a church near you that ordains its pastors online. Shouldn’t be too hard, right?

Exactly when did I say all protestant churches were ordained online? When did I say that? All I said, truthfully, ppl can become pastors online. I’m sure some of these little churches are that way. I don’t have the energy or stomach to visit these. I’m done with this thread before I get an infraction, unless that’s what ya’ll want

You’re sure but you can’t link to a website. The only online sites I saw when for legal documents so people could marry people. Wedding chapels. No faith limits Hence, not Christian and therefore not Protestant
We know you didn’t say all, though your early posts indicated no limiting language. That said, please link to just one.
