Except maybe for latinmasslover. The N.O. mass is here to stay. Some like Latin…go for it. One is not any better than the other. The Church has spoken on this. If you think headcoverings, gilded altars, solid gold chalices and traditional music make you get in the groove of worship…have at it. The N.O. is different in style…but it “IS” still Mass. To some Mass is a sacrifice…to others it is a celebration. I prefer the celebration…latinmasslover prefers the sacrifice. He/she can go on and on ad naseum with comparisions to a satanistic mass…it is just his/her opinion and has no bearing on what Catholics prefer. As a human being…he/she does not have the corner on the “truth”…his/her truth is based on the enviroment of worship he/she most satisfies him/her as holy and reverant.Traditionalists are as capable of causing scandal as anyone else - being “trad” gives no immunity against sinfulness; it means only that that kind of Catholic will sin in a slightly different way from his theological opponents: yet both are sinners, so both can cause scandal.
I find it interesting to see posts by those who IMHO are hard core traditionalists having disagreement with latinmasslover. Chrismyster…that makes me giddy.
