Can I go visit everything at my local Mormon Temple?

Part of the cult like ethos of Mormonism is Esoteric Ritualism ( secret spooky stuff)…

Smith was a Mason and ripped off their scheme of ascending levels of progress and secret teachings. It’s pure 19th century penny theater.

The scary part is that as “Worthy Mormons” go through these rituals and ceremonies, they are made to swear oaths on the pain of torture and assassination by other “Worthy Mormons” that they wont ever spill the beans about what goes on during these rituals.

This is no longer the case. The rites were changed. I went through about 6 months ago, and can definitely tell you those parts have mostly been removed. Now you just promise that you’ll kill yourself before revealing the secrets.

The local Mormon official walks in. Asks about your family. Rocounts some of the good old days you spent together. Maybe you share a cirgarette. He bids you farefwell and leaves a lugar on the table with one bullet. Nice

Hahaha! Sorry, but that’s be best laugh I’ve had all day.

Good analogy, but I’m sure it wouldn’t work quite like that unless you’re from Montana … or maybe Texas.

In which case, it’d probably be a rifle.

Yeah. Just put Joseph Smith, Jr. in Berlin at the time of Hitlers rise to power, and I’m sure the two would have had a shootout to rival no other. That could have solved all the world’s problems. Either that or they’d be best buds and we’d all be done for.
