God is not arrogant nor does God lie. Our God is not like the false god of islam, who actually promotes lying.

You will not find any lies in Christianity. 😛 🙂

Another good BoM scripture that I nearly forgot! 😃

2 Nephi 9:

26 For the atonement satisfieth the demands of his justice upon all those who have not the law given to them, that they are delivered from that awful monster, death and hell, and the devil, and the lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment; and they are restored to that God who gave them breath, which is the Holy One of Israel.

27 But wo unto him that has the law given, yea, that has all the commandments of God, like unto us, and that transgresseth them, and that wasteth the days of his probation, for awful is his state!
 
Jesus cannot lie. He is a man and a prophet of God. He had a God to whom he prayed. So we can never imagine that he could lie.

But that is not the only thing. It is far better to believe that no prophet of God will tell lies. That would settle this matter for good. So there are many others too who did not lie. Jesus is not alone in that matter.

Men can lie; prophets can lie. God can’t lie and that’s why it was and is impossible for Jesus to lie. It’s His nature. Not only didn’t He lie, He NEVER sinned. Men and women like you and me sin, but not the God/Man Jesus.
 

Speaking of lieing: King David lied, Abraham lied, Joseph Smith lied, Mohammed lied, the apostle Peter lied — me all have lied; Jesus NEVER lied.​

The thing about liars is that both God and Satan uses liars. Look at what Jesus said to Peter.

Mt 16:23 But He (Jesus) turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”
 
The Jews kept their Book quite in order. David was their king. I’ll trust what they’ve written about David. Notice, they didn’t ‘candy coat’ the story. If they had, the story would have been a lie.

There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved. Persons belonging to other religions who seek after God, and find Him, come to Him through Jesus, whether they know it, or not. 😉

Jesus cannot lie.
People can; thus so can teachers, churches, denominations (self claims for self alone not withstanding).

PRmerger is in a good mood. And she gets the humor. 😛

I never ask for verses when I know the poster is speaking metaphorically, as Jharek was. I only ask for chapter and verse, really, as a way of pointedly saying: all of you Protestants believe things that can’t be found in Scripture also.

(BTW, PRmerger is not one of those moody females. [SIGN]Always the same mood, all the time! 😉 [/SIGN]

Is this Prmerger’s husband or one of her children speaking for her? Inquiring minds want to know.
 
I would assume that the Church’s position is that while the only way to Heaven is through Jesus, He opens that way to people of other faiths if they deserve. As to the original question. Maybe Jesus can’t lie, but he can certainly be misunderstood.
 
Lighten up. Who cares what the purpose of this person is. Truth will prevail. Let’s exalt Jesus and let those who don’t understand be touched by Him.
 
GOD [holy and just] must to be just demand that ** sin be punished and debt repayed**. Jesus has done that for all of us, all sinners. If you deny that Jesus was crucified for you then you can only be judged by what you have done and what is on your heart.

Those accepting Jesus and the Gift of Grace will have Jesus with them.

Most people today atheist, Budhists, Sihks, etc. understand the crucifixion and why it was done. Muslims deny the crucifixion completely.

I am a trinitarian Christian but have come to believe [after having spoken with many people from many religions] that denying the crucifixion is worse then denying that Jesus is GOD.

Even if Jesus were mere man, He was still chosen by GOD to sacrifice Himself for the good of all mankind. Even if He was mere man He was the perfect sinless man. Jesus believed completely that He/the shephard was laying His life down for His sheep/followers.

Denying the crucifixion is denying a historical fact and there is only one being behind that and that is the devil/satan.
