I ask because I feel attuned to the West Syriac spirituality and Qurbono. Have any non-Indians transferred to the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church? Thank you.

While culturally the Syro-Malankara Churches are very Indian, due to recent immigrants and many first-gen kids, ALL ARE WELCOME! Please join us for Holy Qurbono and become a regular!

I joined a Ruthenian parish…not one slav bone in my body but I was graciously accepted and have really come closer to God through the eastern spirituality. No matter who we are, we are all one body with Christ at the head.

Certainly!
Certainly I agree. But mind the Indian nature and if possibly choose parish / community which also celebrates in English (or another language you understand and they offer) in a range comfortable for you.

The Exarch for the Syro-Malankara faithful in the US has determined that at least 2 Sundays per month, the Holy Qurbono is to be celebrated in English. There may be some celebrating in English more than this.

Of course you could! God welcomes people of all backgrounds into one of his 23 Churches! 👍

God bless you. :blessyou:

Yes, I emailed the Exarch and he told me the parish in my area has Holy Qurbono in English every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. 🙂
