Can Son(Jesus) do anything by himself without Father(God)?

I was under the impression that the Old Testament talked a lot about the Spirit of God. Of course, there was not Trinitarian understanding of God back then, but the Spirit of God is specifically mentioned in a number of places, especially in connection to prophecy. An example is Joel 2:28.
Yes God is Spirit that is not the question. But the Spirit of God was not sent upon our humanity until the fulfillment from the incarnation of the Word of God. God the Holy Spirit was not revealed yet, that later reveals Him to be the Lord the giver of life that gives the breath of life to our humanity not only from the beginning, but after the resurrection in baptism “which saves you now” 2 Peter to become born anothen from above.

“Love” is the one of big reason to create universes for God. Love is tie and attachment of creatures that God loves what he created. Love is very important but can love be creator and be part of deity("…I was taught that the Holy Spirit is the love between God our Father and Jesus…") I have red Bible some but ı can not conclude that and ı did not see any explicative revealation in Bible about Holy Spirit

(“İn the beginning was the word”) is that “beginning” for mankind and time or for God? I know there is no any beginning and time for God because God is eternal and timeless. So Word referes to Jesus because Jesus is Word of God (kelimetullah=word of God). Words of God are relating to God. But for Jesus word of God is an attribute. So ı do not understand Jesus was eternal(there is no certain evidence) and there is no any thing about Jesus in OT in that way yet there should be good news that Jesus will come.
I agree that love is very important but why do you think that love cannot be part of “deity”?

Perhaps I am not understanding your question. I interpret your question that you think that God because God is omnipotent that He is not capable of love? That God is not capable of loving something that He created? Then what would be the purpose of God creating?

I suppose when one is trying to understand God, the most important thing to remember is that God does not call us into a relationship with Him IF we only know everything there is to know about Him because that would be impossible because we could just not do that God is mystery - He just wants us to give Him our heart trusting that He knows what is best for us.

When you read Sacred Scripture, remember that the New Testament is hidden in the Old Testament and the Old Testament is revealed or manifested in the New Testament.

We learn from the Bible that God created everything that exists. God is the master of the World and of history. God is the author of love and life. God is absolute goodness and He created the world in order to communicate His goodness and love to us.

God has revealed Himself to us in various ways: in nature (a gift to us), by speaking to us thru the Patriarchs and Prophets of Israel, the Bible contains His Word for He has spoken to us and it has been written down - the Bible is to be looked at like a love letter for us from God for in it God speaks to our heart, but God especially reveals Himself thru His Son Jesus Christ, thru the Incarnation God became man (although did not leave His throne in Heaven God was still God when this happened) yet God fully Divine became fully human in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Because of Original Sin, the relationship that God intended for us was broken and we could not fix this broken relationship as you see as you read thru the Old Testament but God did not abandon us for right from the beginning when the relationship was broken God promised to send a Redeemer to fix the broken relationship and He did. Jesus is God is revealed as you read thru the New Testament. Testament means “testimony” and the people writing down what God has revealed are giving testimony that this really happened that they are witnesses to this incredible event in the history of the world. God became man, Jesus stepped into our world to save us from our sins because we could not do it on our own - only God could. Jesus is the bridge between God and humanity. Jesus invites us to know about God - our Heavenly Father who calls us into a loving relationship and we are given free will to choose to follow Him or to choose not to follow Him.

Hello!

I am a Muslim and I want to understand Christianity faith especially about Trinity. As much I can learn that Son and Holy Spirit are assumed to be part of Deity. But I wonder how that work. I mean what Father can and cannot do? And what are limits for Son and Holy Spirit. Do Son and Holy Spirit can use all part of deity? Or are each three same at all? And how that issue revealed in Gospels?
Scripture states that Christ eternally does the will of the Father so Christ would never ‘strike out on His own’…
…It’s an eternal relationship.

Your definition of Love is grounded in human traits. We are parted love.

Love is God. Watch what Love can do when True Love who is God moves.

Divine Love can love enemies.

Divine Love is unconditional.

Divine Love gives his life unconditionally for his friends,

Killing oneself and one’s enemies at the same time is not the same Love God calls our humanity to love one another.

"God said, Let US make man in OUR image. The mystery of the Trinity can never be explained in academic terms or defined by human standards. It takes faith, that God gives unconditionally through His Spirit who is Love.

Now that essence of God who is Love does not come down to us less we die. But God’s presence is made known to us in, with and through the Son in the Holy Spirit.

No one can Say Jesus is Lord without the Holy Spirit. You are grasping at a mystery of God that only His Spirit can reveal to you. If you reject His Holy Spirit, how can you enter into these mysteries, which only He the Holy Spirit can declare and make them known to you in faith?

See if this can help you seek His Truth?

We are made in the image of God.

When you say “I love You” to your beloved see how we image the mystery of the Trinity.

From your essence (person) you sent your word “I love you” to your beloved. What you sent was not your essence, but your presence of the Love you have for your beloved. Your beloved recieved your Love, by hearing your Word, but your Word was sent from you in the voice (sound), when you sent your voice and the word from your essence what was sent in them was your breath. Yet your beloved recieved all you, and the love of your presence was known to your beloved who heard all three of you and she believed, because You sent them to her. Your word, your voice and word breath are all distinct from your essence, but all three cannot be divided because they are you One human being.

God is divine in every aspect of God that, when He wills to make known to humanity HIs Word and His breath from His voice veils His essence is eternally one God. Whether God (His essence) from the voice of command from the Father sends His Word (His only begotten Son) and His Breath (the Holy Spirit), these come down to us that veil His essence, to reveal what God wills to reveal to our humanity.

Thus the voice, the word, the breath are all distinct persons in the divinity of God, but they are all One God and no other. We do not confuse the divine economy of God which is the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit with the essence of God in all of these there is only One God and no other.

Thus we know the person of the Word of God incarnate is God veiled in the person of Jesus Christ flesh. Jesus full humanity veils His full divinity. The Son is never separated from the Father because He comes from the Father. What is hidden in this divine economy of revelation is the HolySpirit (the breath of God) is also a distinct person who is not the Father nor the Son, all three are one God consubstantial in One nature divine, undivided, never confused or separated, yet eternally One God.

So when Moses saw the burning bush that did not burn, speak the trinity is revealed. First the presence of the burning bush, Moses was told to take his sandals off, standing on holy ground, then the voice (Father) then the Word (decalogue) that was sent from the voice proceeded the Holy Spirit that gave Moses revelation and understanding what God was revealing to Moses from the first Person the Father’s voice, the second person sent from the Father in the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit proceeded from that divine Word that gave utterance and understanding to Moses. Thus the Trinity of God is never divided, yet distinct persons in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit One God.

The human imaging the blessed Trinity does not in no way define or come close to revealing the mystery of God in the blessed Trinity.

Know one goes to the Father without the Son in the Holy Spirit.
Peace be with you.

Remember we Christians believe in one God. There is not a single thing one person of the Trinity can do that the other two persons cannot do. Where one person of the Trinity is, there the other two must also be. The person’s are distinct in their “relationship” to one another. The three persons co-exist together as one substance.

One could look at the Athanasian Creed to find an explanation of the relationships among the three persons of the Trinity.
