Can we learn to control physical reality with our minds?

If physical reality is essentially just wave forms, then what is stopping us from manifesting what ever we want with our minds?

Physical laws themselves do not demonstrate that we cannot develop the ability to control physical objects with our minds. Physical law is simply the recognition that things tend to behave in very specified or particular ways. This is not evidence that physical law is absolute or unbreakable.

Apparently the waves emanating from our minds don’t produce significant F resulting in insignificant a. The only significant F that I’m able to produce with my mind is indirectly through my muscular system. Unless you’ve got a way to produce F with just your mind alone don’t expect to be able to be able to move anything with your mind.
 
Yes. Our minds send out energy waves through our nervous system, which then causes our muscles to operate and manipulate the physical world around us.

Then you need very very strong energy(here electromagnetic) waves to do so. The waves of a radio tower are so strong, that they are very unhealthy if you are too near, but they cannot move a stone.

We “control physical reality with our minds” all the time. I think to myself, “I want to read a book.” My brain controls my legs to walk over to the bookshelf, controls my eyes to find the book I want, controls my hand to pick it up.

But I’m sure this isn’t what you meant. 😉 Are you talking about telekinesis, or biofeedback, or something else?

Yes we can learn to control the physical reality with our minds. However, that is not because physical reality is “just waveforms” as you say. We can only do that through holiness, once we are dead and God shares his divinity with us we get a glorified body, then and only then the physics will be subject to our will.
 
Physical reality as we understand it means what collectively as opposed to what physical reality in fact?

Quite honestly, given human nature, I wouldn’t want most people doing that, anyway.
 
I have not studied quantum mechanics yet but isn’t the wave nature of reality based on probability and not actuality? That is diffraction makes particles behave like waves because of probability densities and not because they are in infinite places at once?

Our brains don’t emit strong enough waves, and aren’t equipped to.

I’ve jumped several times over flights of stairs but never took flight myself. Looks pretty unbreakable to me. 👍

The mechanics of faith actually run counter to the answer that the OP is asking. Faith does not give you super powers. When we express faith in the hopes of some reality-bending miracle, we rely on God. It is God who allowed Peter to walk on water because he had faith. The power lies outside us. It is the same with occult activity. People do not rely on any power from within. They rely on the spiritual contact they’ve made with demonic entities. (Hence, the Church has prohibited such practices.)

Now if such power truly came from within, we would not need faith. We would find ways to harness such power through scientific application. In the same sense, we do not need faith to light a fire or flip on a switch. Such power would be another natural function of man. (Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that’s the case even though I’ve wished and daydreamed that it was.)

Such worries are moot when you think about how man replaces the old with the new all the time yet does not do the same with the more essential things like human nature.

It’s why I have no qualms wishing for a world where people wielded psionics/spells instead of just guns and ammo. The only real difference is that things look much cooler that way. 😛

All of our powers, natural or otherwise, come from God and is sustained by God…
