Can you tell what people are like by the way they look?

+1 on your gut. If someone is looking like they want to do me harm be aware. I’m always willing to change my mind afterward. People portray with their dress what’s in their heart.

I hear what you’re saying, but I think the question presented by the OP is of a different nature than what you mention about preaching the gospel.

Best of luck!

I just tie it to the gospel because this is where my real interest was in telling that story above. I kind of want to do the opposite, after having been in those shoes. I’m just not sure how recoiling from people helps them. Not unless there’s a clear and present danger.

Has anyone EVER been right about an assumption by the way one looks. Of course. Probably almost always right…it’s just those pesky exceptions that change the world. One apostle made a famous wrong assumption “Can anything good come out of Nazareth”.

No. I prefer to judge people based on their behavior over a looooooong period of time. The last time I made a judgement about character, I had known the person for 3.5 years, and they had been mistreating me for three before I finally called it.

When people judge me based on how I look, or sound, or what I do, or try to shove me into a box as quickly as possible, they are wrong fully one hundred percent of the time. Then they hold me accountable for their assumptions and punish me for their bad judgement. This happens to me a lot. I make darn sure that I don’t do it to others.

I think you can deduce some things about people by what they choose to wear.

Also, this:
This. People are assuming things about this lady based on her facial expression and red hair. I get that they may be joking.

Also, I can’t believe no one has brought up tattoos yet. When someone has, for instance, facial or neck tattoos, they are trying to portray themselves as a “bad dude” character. I think we are all somewhat conditioned to see them like that.

Once you got that thug for life tattoo, the lord may know you have changed, but in the eyes of the world your judged for life. And i’m not saying i agree with that. That’s just how people are, accept for some.

I’m like Sherlock Holmes. I can deduce incredible things by merely looking at you.
I can do that without even seeing the person.

Cruciferi, for example, is notched. He has gaps on each side of his forehead, and on each side of his chin.

Jump4Joy might be irregular with her power bill, thus appearing pasty and in the dark.

on_the_hill cannot be seen in daylight.

See, this is easy.

🤣
I have natural red hair… Is this a problem? 🙁

Especially when the tattoo says, “Satan” or some such . . .

I just sketch portraits of myself!

Best to leave men to it when they are competing for God’s grace lol.

Nice picture. But seriously, you think it’s better than this…

No. I know some people say they can tell but I’ve been on the other end of this.

You have no idea how many of my friends like to tell me that they honestly thought I was a b**** before they talked to me. Like sheesh…i don’t bite.

Profiling is a very appropriate and natural human trait, we just need to know it’s imperfect
