Can you tell what people are like by the way they look?

We should approach new acquaintances with caution. There is a sin described in the catechism of “rash judgment.”

There’s two issues here: 1) what does the person look like, and 2) what is your predisposition of people of such appearance? In other words, this is very subjective, and 10 people might have ten different opinions.

No, I don’t think so. I think you are much more likely to misjudge people that way. You only have so much control of your ‘cover’, appearance; this is the same for everybody. But I have always believed that you can figure out a lot about people after talking to them for not that long, 20 minutes or so. At least get a pretty good idea of what makes them tick that will later prove correct. Sometimes I am wrong, see another side I didn’t see at first, but a lot of times more info, knowledge just affirms what I thought - this can be in a positive or negative way. Happens each way the same. I don’t rely on appearance, but I do get impressions, hunches.

dyed hair colours and different dress together have been determined to be worn by people wirh quite high iqs. next time yiu see those arty or rebel types on campus, think of that.

my kelpies judge every other dog by the way it looks. if its not a kelpie, its absolutely not worth their time. And if it tries to get in their face , it cops the wrath of a kelpie.

I’d like to see a source for that. I’ve also read that people with high IQs tend to wear the same things day to day. Apparently, geniuses don’t want to waste mental energy on choosing what to wear and other menial tasks.

I see a lot of people with crazy hair at my school. Everywhere except my STEM classes.

“Kelpies”?? Who taught you Australians to speak English, anyways?

🙂

Is that a sort of fish?

we arent talking genius level. we are talking high iq.

the geniuses i have known, verifiable, range from your brooks brothers snappy dressed to unable to function in the mainstream. they are all a definite class of their own. and not so easily boxed. the genius i am working with atm is self taught, left school as soon as legally able to, and has issues that impact his ability to function socially. his iq , last time tested put him in your upper mensa group, last thing he would ever do is dye his hair .

high iq and great creativity go hand in hand with dyed purple or green hair and unconventional dress.

google it
