In response to needing to ask him to check up on you…maybe. He might think the texting is good enough. He may not be getting your hints. My husband is like that. It took me a while to realize that he wasn’t being a coldhearted jerk, he just didn’t realize that the support I needed was different than what he was offering.I guess I just feel like I need to find out where he is… in this relationship.
And I shouldn’t have to ASK him to check in on me or text me…to see how I’m doing, right?
I want to talk to him tonight - when he gets back. What SHOULD I say to him and what SHOULDN"T? I obviously shouldn’t bring up his kids… but with this opportunity for a move…I want to guage things. But - I obviously know that he’s already worried that I would leave him …to move to another city. So, I don’t want to THREATEN him in a place where he’s already vulverable.
So what is okay to say … so I don’t have to worry about saying TOO Much?
So if you haven’t told him, explicitly, that you want him to come to your appointments, or make sure to call you instead of text on those days, then tell him so. If you have told him, but he dismisses you or doesn’t make the effort to comply after you ask…then yeah, get out of that relationship.
I won’t deny that based on your OP I get the same bad vibe a lot off other posters have, but I do want to caution you about expecting any man to be a mind reader. Imagined hurt can cover up other much more serious issues.
