Cancer diagnosis, please pray

Last week my wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Please pray for her, this is a tough time in our lifes. What makes this hard is that she’s only 35 and we’ve only been married for 4 months, at this point in time we were supposed to be starting our life together. We’re seeing the oncologist on Friday and hopefully we have good news.

“O God, who gave to St. Peregrine an angel for his companion, the Mother of God for his Teacher, and Jesus for the Physician of his malady; grant, we beseech Thee, through his merits, that we may on earth intensely love our holy angel, the Blessed Virgin, and our our Savior, and in heaven bless them forever. Grant that we received the favor for which we now petition, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.”

Thank You all I have strength through this tough time in my life but it’s my love and trust in God is where I get it from

Lord, look upon me with eyes of mercy. May your healing Spirit rest upon me. It is through your power that i was created. Since you created me from nothing, you can certainly recreate me. Fill me with the healing power of your spirit. May your lifegiving powers flow into every cell of my body and into the depths of my soul. Mend what is broken. Cast out anything that should not be within me. Rebuild my brokenness. Restore my strength for service in your Kingdom. Touch my soul with Your compassion for others. Touch my heart with Your courage and infinite love for all. Touch my mind with your wisdom, that my mouth may always proclaim Your praise. Teach me to reach out to You in my need, and help me to lead others to You by my example. Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring me health in body and spirit that i may serve You with all my strength. Pray for us o Mary Mother of the Poor.*
 
May The Holy Spirit grant you both fortitude at this very diffcult time in your life and a very worrying one too…hoping you will receive good news you hope for…keeping you both in prayer…

Chris, what is your wife’s first name? I will spend a Holy Hour tomorrow of intercession for the two of you, since you are not two, but one flesh.

Chris, I’m so sorry. DH and I got the ovarian cancer diagnosis in May. God bless both of you. I’ll be praying. If your wife likes internet bulletin boards, can I suggest she check out www.hystersisters.com ? It’s a site for women dealing with hysterectomies, and other gynecological issues. There’s a whole section for gynecological cancers. That board became my second home and such a huge support after my diagnosis and surgery.

May God give you strength in this difficult time.
 
I will keep you both in my morning rosary and my prayers tonight.
