Cancer Pain is Starting

Please guys, I need prayers. The pain is starting in my back. I have stage 4 ovarian cancer and chemo can no longer help, so I’ve gone off treatment… Between now and death I don’t know how this disease will treat me, and of course, I NEED PRAYERS!

May Christ Who was crucified for your sake free you from excruciating pain. May Christ Who died for you free you from the death that never ends. May Christ the Son of the living God, set you in the ever green loveliness of His Paradise, and may He, the true Shepherd recognize you as one of His own. May you see your Redeemer face to face and standing in His presence forever, may you see with joyful eyes Truth revealed in all its fullness.

I am so sorry to hear of your pain from cancer and your diagnosis. May God give you strength and hold you in the palm of his hand as you cope with this.

This morning (half an hour ago) I woke up from a dream. I saw my friend who I loved so much. She died in February of cancer. She was smiling and in peace. Her lovely smile and beautiful voice was so real that it’s hard to believe it was just a dream.

I am praying for you today, that our Lord gives you the strength to get through this time, whether it’s pain, or doubt, or fear. I pray that he also gives your friends and family the strength to support you during this time.

And if it is His will, to turn this cancer around and out the door. So be it Lord, Hallelujah, and Praise you Jesus! For what the doctors are baffled by, is nothing for you Lord Jesus.

When the pain is there, try to unite this pain with our Lord, for your intentions, whether it be for the souls in purgatory or whatever intentions you have. Remember how effectatious your prayers are!
 
Dear St Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of difficult cases, of things almost despaired of, Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone.

Make use I implore you of the privilege given to you to bring bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly -

for the easing of weejee’s pain and for the graces and comfort she needs to endure-

and that I may praise God with you and all the saints forever. I promise, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor granted me by God and to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.

God of all creation, You who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from the darkness, I ask You now to send forth Your miracle working power to heal Weejee. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, You empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life giving power to all those in need, including those You raised from the dead. I ask You to send forth your healing power into Weejee’s body and give her the strength to fight her illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. Prayer to St. Anthony for Those With Cancer

Dear St. Anthony, you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer. In your goodness and kindness, please intercede for Weejee, who is suffering from stage 4 ovarian cancer. If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing be granted to her. Comfort Weejee during times of unbearable pain, and ask our Lord to grant her peace and patience in suffering. May God give her the fullness of life here on earth, or call her home to eternal glory forever. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

I am sorry to hear of your suffering.

I don’t know if you have Hospice help or even want it. However, they can help with pain management. And no, they don’t do anything to bring life to an end faster or intentionally. I have worked with them with three different family members over the last 15 years. My sister will probably be the next family member I will be assisting when she reaches that point with her illness.

And believe it or not, this is one of those cases where you might benefit from medical marijuana. I know some folks will gasp, but it is known to help with cancer pain.

I will pray for you and do have the belief that God will be with you and help you during this final journey. May you know His Peace and Love.
