Oh Holy St. Jude, apostle and martyr, great in virtue, rich in miracle, near kinsman of Jesus Christ, faithful intercessor of all who invoke your special patronage in time of need. To you we have recourse from the depth of our hearts and humbly beg to who God has given such great power to come to Ita’s assistance. Help her in in her present and urgent petition.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Thank you all so much for your prayers for Ita. After her stroke yesterday, Ita lost her speech and the use of her left side. Miraculously her speech is back today and the use of her left arm thank God. Your prayers mean so much to Ita and to us. Please continue to pray for her. Thanks.
Catherine.

I am sorry to hear Ita had a stroke but how wonderful her speech and arm use are functioning again.

A Novena Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart of Jesus, we know that there is but one thing impossible to You: to be without pity for those who are in suffering or distress. Look down on us, we beg of You and grant us the grace which we humbly and earnestly implore, through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother to whom You confided us as her children, and whose prayers are all powerful with You. Amen.

Continuing prayers …

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Short Responsory

At the break of day I will reflect on you, O Lord.
– At the break of day I will reflect on you, O Lord.
Lord, you have been my help.
– At the break of day I will reflect on you, O Lord.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
– At the break of day I will reflect on you, O Lord.

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you. (FOR ITA) Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy. Amen.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. Ita had another stroke today and the cancer is spreading. Ita only has hours left. Please please pray for her in her final hours that her death may be Holy and Peaceful. Please also pray for us her loved ones at this terrible time.

Thank you all so very much for your prayers for Ita. Ita went to Heaven on Friday night. She had a very holy and peaceful passing with my father and I by her side. Please pray for Ita’s soul and for all of us at this time.

In Loving Memory

Almighty God, through the death of your Son on the cross, you have overcome death for us. Through his burial and resurrection from the dead you have made the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray for those who died believing in Jesus and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. God of the living and the dead, may those who faithfully believed in you on earth praise you for ever in the joy of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
