Is this surprising? The party of slavery, segregation and Jim Crow laws and that is not an attack, that is relatively recent documented history. It wasn’t even a decade ago that there was still a Democrat senator named Robert Byrd who formed his own chapter in the Ku Klux Klan.

In October 2018, during the bombing attempts targeting prominent Democrats , Mrs Owens promoted the conspiracy theory that the bomb mailings were sent by leftists.After authorities arrested a 56-year-old suspect who is a registered Republican and Trump supporter on October 26, Owens deleted her comments without explanation .
 
That all changed when LBJ got the Civil Rights Bill passed in the early 1960s.
Then the former Democrats turned Republican and turned the party of Abraham Lincoln into the party of Strom Thurmond (Dixiecrat before he turned full-blown GOPer).
Since that time, the Democratic Party has been the party that has championed Black rights, while the GOP has turned to voter suppression, voter nullification, etc. and so forth.

Argumentative for the sake of argumentation. Or.in the old terms, rhethoric. Or, in current terms,.alternative. Or, in my own words, anything just to be ^^original^^.
 
As far as I’m concerned, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party as a whole are just two sides of the same coin.

I like that Candace Owens is a voice for African-Americans who are at least open to considering the conservative side. However, hers is a case of accidental-celebrity. And she wasn’t prepared for it. Her interview on the Rubin Report clearly showed the accidental nature of her rise to fame. And then the subsequent “debate” she did with Blaire White (that Rubin ‘moderated’) was utterly pathetic. Owens and White just could not stop yelling at each other and behaving badly. It was like reality TV at its absolute worst. Candace Owens is not much of a thoughtful representative for black conservatism in the U.S., imho. I’m glad she’s here because hopefully she’s better than nothing. But, conservatism could do much better. Not that I’m conservative, I’m just sayin…
 
Why didn’t Robert “KKK” Byrd switch to the Republican Party? Your attempt at history revisionism is nothing short of sad. “They all magically switched roles.” That’s not even a clever lie. It’s just plain lazy. Why is it that every black conservative is viciously attacked by Democrats and called Uncle Toms and much worse? Since you bring up LBJ please look up what he said about black voters. It is too crude for this forum and I refuse to post it here.

Why is it that the black poverty rate continues to be out of control in cities that have been run exclusively by Democrats for decades? Is that the racist Republicans fault too?

I think that is a fair assessment based on the current situation. To claim one side is intrinsically evil and racist while the other is virtuous and just is completely intellectually dishonest.
 
I’m sorry but you seem to have stumbled into the wrong thread. You see in this thread we are rewriting history and ignoring your racist “facts.”

Could you please provide the names of the racist Democrats who switched to the Republican Party? Thanks in advance. Oh, and requiring an ID to vote is not voter suppression.

There was no evidence of collusion, but you won’t hear that on the MSM. Nope, all you hear is a bunch of Dems spouting off at how terrible it is. Every day all day long…

Why was there a Democrat senator who started a chapter of the KKK still being celebrated as a great man as late as 2010?

Since the other guy decided to drop off the face of the earth after dropping his talking points you can tell us all the Congressman who switched parties. I’ll give you a head start, there were THREE. So out of 535 Congressmen 3 of them switched sides. That’s one half of one percent. This of course took the entire historical racist burden off of the Democrat party and placed it solely on Republican shoulders somehow. That is a neat trick.

A greater percentage of Republicans supported the civil rights acts then Democrats. Please explain why the racist Republicans voted this way.

Lastly please explain how you can ignore the entire history of the Democrat, from history books, and then tell us there was a magical Freaky Friday type incident that reversed everything. Then in an almost laughable example of irony, tell us to read a history book.

There, that is how you debate, not with one liners and platitudes.
 
Seems strange that Blacks overwhelmingly support and vote for Democratic politicians, then if it is still the party of slavery and all that…
