Capitalism respects property rights, freedom to choose what you want to buy, and incentive to produce. Free markets are the best known weapons against poverty.

Markets that are free of a sort are. But we’ve never had a truly free market. There has always been government collusion with business that enriched some at the expense of others. Ironically this process also led to vast economic growth and the enrichment of many in time.

You are correct that crony capitalism does unfairly choose winners and losers, at the expense of others.

Certainly capitalism has a much better historic record than socialism for the ‘allowing’ of a just , free and rich society. The main question is how does it do this.

I would like to see more Dinesh on this forum. He is very good at researching facts and statistics and i think his prosecution was politically motivated.

Yes, but… it was discovered that he had checked into a hotel at a conference with a woman whom he introduced as his fiancee, but he said he has been separated for two years from his wife, and he and the woman had separate rooms.

I was surprised to learn he converted to Evangelicalism from Catholicism.
