When it comes to “personally pro-life” politicians who support pro-abortion legislation, the Vatican’s prefect emeritus of the Congregation of Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments minces no words.

“Some … say, I am personally not in favor of abortion, but I will not impose my views on others,” said Cardinal Francis Arinze. “It is like saying, I am personally not in favor of killing you. … But since some people want to shoot all of you in the Senate and the House of Representatives, I won’t impose my views on them, it is pro-choice!

“You are not serious! This is Divine law, it’s not a tennis club regulation.”

It is nice to see, the magisterium is starting to be more vocal about Catholics who reject their faith when voting. . I suspect the inclusion of abortion funding in the recent health care law and the passage of homosexual marriage in New York has finally woken them up to the futility of not vocally addressing the issue.

👍👍👍

Well said Cardinal Arinze!

I think in politics there is a lot of pressure to toe the party line. I really think if they are truely pro life, they must be willing to suffer the consequences in their career to be true to their beliefs.

Glad to a Cardinal against child murder, he should start talking to the US Bishops. Why has the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) funneled 280 million dollars of our collection basket contributions to organizations fighting for abortion and homosexuality? The following are videos by very credible sources and fully documented:

Amen! I’m sure that in the future, future generations will look back at the present Catholics in the same light as we look at Germans during WWII and rightly so. Complacency and abetting a Holocaust against the unborn. We have been told over & over that there are 5 intrinsic evils that a Catholic can not support. This is not all Catholics but you do the math, 75% of all Catholics in the US do not regularly attend Sunday Mass. 98% of Catholics use birth control. Lord knows how many ignore the Magisterium because it may be an inconvenience to obey. I fear the terrible terrible Judgement coming, all those Souls.
