The Colombian Cardinal Darío Castrillón Hoyos has served as the chairman of the commission Ecclesia Dei for nine years. Over that time he’s closely followed the discussions and negotiations with the Lefebvrians. In June of 2009 he passed that chore to Cardinal William Joseph Levada.
