The wording of the 1938 law effectively prevented Jews from owning firearms and gave the government the power to restrict firearm ownership among the rest of the citizens. Agreed but it doesn’t support your claim. In fact the cited source specifically states the opposite of your claim.

Despite the headlines, the article does not state how many or what types of
arms were seized or whether they were even unlicenced or otherwise illegal–as will be
seen, no prohibition on Jewish possession of firearms was enacted until 1938.

I can afford that toy gun, only I don’t want one. the price range for those is just above the “junk” class for trap and skeet guns.

The Franchi is very well-made and comes from a good lineage of well made weapons, and makes any “trap and skeet gun” (as long as we’re mixing apples and oranges [and thank you for jumping to a “sporting purposes” gun issue as a reference]) look absolutely like a weapon of last resort.

The 1928 Law did not eradicate guns, while it eased certain restrictions, it compelled two types of registrations that WERE used by the Nazi’s to, later, track down and eliminate their opposition, Jew and Gentile alike. The point being, most obviously avoided, is that it would be difficult to say that the gun laws served any of the gun owners, and had a dubious to negative impact on the society that it was supposedly enacted to foster.

Either way, my reference should have mentioned the broader issue of how the field was prepared for planting, and what grew there.

Weird boast, and incorrect on the nobility part. I refuse to disclose here but (btw), real gun owners don’t need any go for distance challenges in asserting their holdings. We’ll blame the martini’s.

Not confirming or denying posession of the SPAS, but will absolutely give the thing kudos for being very well made and worth a selective buy, if you are lucky to come across one, with the understanding that it’s not (necessarily) made to put groceries on the table, but to keep others from taking them off.
