The cardinal also said Europe was undergoing a 'quiet apostasy' by rejecting its Christian roots
Every nation has a right to distinguish between genuine refugees and economic migrants who do not share that nation’s culture, Cardinal Robert Sarah has said.

Speaking at the Europa Christi conference in Poland on Sunday, the African cardinal noted that the country refuses to accept the “logic” of migrant redistribution that “some people want to impose”.

This is probably the most unChristian thing I’ve ever read from a man of the cloth.

So using his logic, Islamic Nations have a right to reject Christian immigrants who don’t share their culture ?

Gee, that would include Israel too, which only allows Jewish immigrants. Even Jews who converted to Christianity, are not allowed to immigrate there.

Power can always be abused for sinful reasons. Here’s another example. In American culture, it’s wrong to murder someone. We have crimes against it and punish people who do it. Even though we aren’t a very religious country anymore, it’s still one of our cultural values that murder is wrong. So of course it’s reasonable for us to ban someone from entering our country who doesn’t share that cultural value. This is the same thing at its core. We are choosing to keep someone out of our country because they don’t fit an important part of our culture. In this case, power is being used for good. In your example, power is being used for evil. This means there are some cases when denying entry to economic migrants is good and other cases when it is evil. Thus, what Cardinal Sarah said is not wrong, just lacking detail. He needs to give examples of when it is a good thing and when it is evil.
