The cardinal said that omitting Jesus’s ‘hard sayings’ is not charitable
Cardinal Robert Sarah has said that gay people are called to chastity, and that “we demean them if we think they cannot attain this virtue.”
Describing chastity as “a virtue for all disciples”, the Vatican liturgy chief argued that clergy deprive gay people of the fullness of the Gospel if they do not call them to live chastely.

We can always trust Cardinal Sarah to give a different and thought provoking angle on a controversial issue. God bless him!

God bless him for his witness in these times.

I really am starting to think that Africa might be the Church’s best hope.
Cardinal Sarah would be at the top of my list for the next Pope. Alas, I don’t get to vote.

I love the comment in that article by the also great Cardinal Napier: “Synod responses from European Churches seem to indicate widespread ignorance & rejection not only of Church teaching but also Scripture.”

I’m reading “God or Nothing” right now, and Cardinal Sarah’s personal biography is amazing. Absolutely amazing. Just that part is worth the purchase price. A kid from the middle of nowhere, who’s parents thought only white people could be priests, and who’d never left his village before seminary rises to Cardinal. And he was on his government’s hit list.

I also like his condemnation of the Godless materialism that infects the West too.

And here ladies and gentlemen is my pick to be future pope… Pius XIII 🙂
