Cardinal suggests sainthood for Shahbaz Bhatti

Cardinal Keith O’Brien, the president of the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland, today expressed his hope that the Church will look into the option of canonising murdered Pakistani politician Shahbaz Bhatti.

The Scottish Cardinal made the comments on the first annivesary of Mr Bhatti’s death and ahead of a peace rally and concert next Saturday led by the British Pakistani Christian Association.
