The man most likely to give Barack Obama fits on the way to Election Day is the newly birettaed Archbishop of New York. Affable, jolly and theatrical, Dolan deploys these genial weapons as the Catholic Church’s point man in the battle against the Obama Administration’s policies on contraception and abortion. The President barely won the Catholic vote in 2008; without an accommodation, Dolan could turn away enough voters to tilt a close election — all with a smile.

He beat Lady Gaga and Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards. 👍

Sorry for my lack of enthusiasm. I’m always highly suspicious when a man of the cloth is praised by the secular media.

This list isn’t for praise. They’ll put criminals and drug lords on the list too. I think Osama was on it one year.

I don’t think the secular media was praising Cardinal Dolan. I believe the ranking was based on votes and quite honestly the comments were very positive for Cardinal Dolan. He is an amazing man and I am happy to see his star rising. His positive yet strong presence is a very good image for our faith that has unfortunately been stereotyped in a negative way.

That’s pretty cool. It is also awesome that he beat Lady Gaga and Cecile Richards who is president of Planned Herodhood.

There is a weekly program on Catholic Radio (you might be able to get online) called “A Conversation with the Cardinal.” These programs are WONDERFUL. I started listening when it was “A Conversation with the Archbishop” and was immediately hooked! You would really enjoy these programs I think!

Cardinal Dolan has such a wonderful joy of life and love of Christ combined with the heart of a lion. He will not back down.
