Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (esieffe), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Hi all.

I take care of a family member who is partially disabled during the best of times, and is also an alcoholic who relapses simi-regularly. He is in relapse now, and last night he kept after me into the morning about vodka. He just went on and on. Exhausted and tired I started talking to him in a menacing tone. I threatened him with throwing him out right then and there in the cold. He kept on.

After a time, I suddenly snapped and grabbed him and tried to force him out in the cold. Twice. After that he left me alone and I felt immediately devastated over my aggression. Completely unheard of for me. I felt so very horrible. Not a peep out of him from the rest of the night. But it was from the shock of my reactions I a sure.

I am not violent, never have been. Even now, I am not worried that it will happen again, but the fact that it happened at all has sent me into a deep depression. What a sin. My transmission went out, so I had to by another used car. My account is overdrawn. I have it far better than many, yet due to my mild aspergers, I am now in a state of tremendous anxiety. I feel frozen, and there is so much to be done in shouldering these additional burdens.

I beg you to please pray for us, as I pray for others. I very much appreciate it.

I recommend you to also pray to Saint Expedite. He is the patron saint of such urgent situations and quick solutions. He has helped me in my severe anxiety. Confidently present your urgent request to him, and also St Jude and St Rita of Cascia 🙂

Offer your pain and suffering for the release of the Holy Souls in Purgatory, who are completely helpless without our prayers. Since Christmas is approaching, we are called to be even more charitable to one another 🙂

Above all, pray for God’s will to be done. Whatever His will is, He will give you the necessary graces and strength to accept it 🙂

Wow, you’re having a really hard time!

My wife is in a nursing home. Our families have pretty much deserted us. It gets very lonely. I’m a very sociable person. God and Mary do help me. I wouldn’t have made it otherwise.

I’m trying to do God’s Will. I don’t understand myself. I just keep trying to let God lead. I think I’m making others misunderstand me unintentionally. That makes it tough.
