It argued that the First Amendment is not relevant to any “ministerial exception” in employment law for religious institutions. If those exceptions exist, administration officials contended, they should be limited to employees who perform “exclusively religious functions.”

So here the administration argues that religious institutions should not be exempt from employment law

Then - From the article we see…
“The administration would grant an exemption to the HHS regulations only if a religious organization hired people who share its beliefs."

huh???
Forgive me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t hiring based on shared religious beliefs be in violation of discrimination laws (race color creed…) …🤷

This just goes to show how disconnected this administration is.

LOL! My darling H said the same thing weeks ago…can you just see the Church trying to hire only Catholics? They’d be taken to court in a NY second.
