Generally speaking I prefer presidential candidates who have political experience, hence Trump, Carson, and Fiorina were candidates that did not really spark interest in me.

Ben Carson’s Michigan chairman switches support to Marco Rubio

Thanks for the link
Shirkey said in a statement a discerning conservative would not choose Trump, and he’s received negative feedback from the campaign field regarding Ted Cruz. That’s why the Clarklake Republican is turning to Rubio.
“His story is compelling. His ability to communicate is outstanding. His principles very closely align with mine. And his ability to connect and inspire, once the field clears, will hopefully bring some much needed healing to our party and to our country,” Shirkey said.

I adore Dr. Ben Carsen and I’m sorry I didn’t know anything about him until he started his presidential campaign.

If anyone truly embodies what it is like to be pro-life…it’s him.

I’m using him as a wonderful example of important people who are pro-life…when I talk about this subject with my children.

We need more men like him in the world.

Dr. Ben Carson is too good for the Neo-Gilded Age politics that we have today.

I’ve been wanting to see his movie “Gifted Hands” starring Cuba Gooding Jr.

me too. I noticed it was on Netflix.

So he did suspend his campaign. While I don’t like candidates who lack political experience, I will say that I admire him for running a relatively clean campaign; he didn’t engage in any sort of insults or negativity, overall he was very positive and well-mannered. But perhaps that was part of his weakness, that he wasn’t harsh enough against his opponents.

Yep.

However, I think his best recent contribution may well be “Can somebody attack me, please?” – not just because of good comedic timing and whatnot (which it did have), but because it may have opened people’s eyes to what’s going on.

(In case anyone missed that debate moment, Dr. Carson was poking fun at the fact that the moderators were allocating speaking time to candidates according to how much they were attacked by other candidates (giving him virtually none).)

Marco Rubio seems to have caught on. Influenced by Carson’s joke or not, I couldn’t say, but I know that yesterday he dared to challenge Dana Bash about the fact that she kept asking him question after question about Mr. T***p.

Did anyone else see the movie last night depicting Carson’s life? It was quite moving. I do hope his service to the country is not over.

Gifted Hands”? I’ve seen that, but it has been a good few years. Perhaps I’ll watch it again one of these days.

P.S. That part of the interview seems to have been omitted from CNN’s “State of the Union”, but I *think *this is what Rubio said:

“I think you’re one of the reasons why. And I don’t mean to take you on this, but I want to be clear because I have now been sitting here for five minutes, and two of three questions are about Donald Trump. That’s the reason why. Because he’s getting all of this attention.”
