People who claim to share my religion have quoted verses to support slavery, war, and all manner of things. They did it wrongly, and if you ask any Catholic about it, they will tell you that. It is the same with muslims…if you want, you can pull things out of context and pervert their meaning. Ask a muslim, and he or she will tell you the same.

Sure, just like the Bible used to justify torturing jews in Spain because being jewish was an affront to “christian teaching”. And of course the friars often justified torture in South America on “christian teaching”, because the pagans were offending them by worshipping idols.

The Koran does not justify this kind of barbarism any more than the Bible does, but there will always be people who use religion as a cover for their own agendas.

Just like people who wish to insult muslims. This is not about Christianity (indeed, the Church specifically teaches that we should respect and enter into dialogue with muslims in Lumen Gentium and the resultant CCC 841).

Cyber, you are insulting muslims because of bias, ignorance, and fear. I’ll pray that you can someday accept the truth of the Church’s teaching, and stop letting your passions lead you astray.

Compare that to what Jesus teaches. love thy enemy, Jesus spread his word with peace. the holy spirit converts we just help spread the word, the holy spirt invites people to find the truth and salvation. God establishes order out of chaos. Islam goes against every fundamental Christian belief. lets not try to paint it up as something different.

i know im not politically correct here, i think Islam is very evil and very dangerous to the world. if anything is going to oppress and torture christians and jews it will be Islam. I may be called negative things by Islamic “sympathisers” but when i see someone cut the head off of an innocent hostage and they are repeating in’shallah god is great while they are horrifyingly sawing at their throat, that pretty much tells me they are evil and worshipping the wrong God. there is no one that i know of that would want you to kill in his name but the devil himself. i don’t care if people say “well, thats not all muslims”. i say to them, they may not all cut peoples heads off but i dont see them acting against it. I see thousands of muslims crying death to America! and celebrating when an american is killed. That makes my blood boil in outrage, and i blame their evil religion.

why dont we call it what it really is, its not just a war on terror, it truly is a jihad, a holy war. this is what i believe and the sooner we strip away the scales and see what this really is, the sooner we start winning.

This is the very definition of a biased, ignorant, and fearful post. I could find many faults with what you wrote and prove some of your facts to be extremely false. I ahve to say you are a racist/biased individual who has almost no knowledge of the subject in which you are discussing. I am definitely not a politically correct individual, but this post was extremely disturbing. I have to ask, Can you possibly be a CHristian with this outlook at a people and religion? How can you even complain of them not following the ways of Christ when you go forth and speak so negatively of several million of your neighbors? I must conclude for starters that you are not a Roman Catholic. Second that you were extremely injured emotionally by the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Finally that you use partisan sites and info for your research. I hope you can find a place of forgiveness and love in that closed heart of yours. My you truely find God one day. Justin, think about this one for a second…you don’t even care if you are right, yet you use these claims to justify denigrating someone else’s religion.

If you want to hate other religions, I think you have a duty to seek the truth about them. Think of it this way…would you like to be judged by the same standard?

Imagine me saying this: “I think Justint is racist and evil. I don’t care what justint says, what people tell me about him, or anything else…I think he’s evil and deserves to be punished. Nothing can change that and I don’t care if I’m wrong.”

Would you feel that I judged you fairly? I seem to remember something about you being judged as you judge others…something to take account of there

I could name you 600 students at my school who would say that as well and not one of those would be Muslim. Muslims are not the only people to deny the Divinity of Christ, the LDS do too and they consider themselves Christians (don’t know how though), any faith other than Christianity would claim that Jesus is not the Son of God, even Judaism denies that fact. So I would conclude that you also think Abraham is the perfect anti-christ too, even Ghandi would be under your theory.

No I don’t think he is a true prophet. Like I have said before he is like the protestant groups, people based their decisions on their own thoughts and not divinely guided. I do beleive that Jesus is God in flesh on earth. I hope this clarifies your questions.

Jesus is the third Godhead of the trinity of God yes? Protestants beleive in Jesus yes, but not all of them actually. Islam beleives in Allah, God basically, just as the Jews call him Jahova and several others. Both Judaism and Islam deny Jesus’ divinity, but I wouldn’t say they are eveil, Jews are/were Gods chosen people. All three faiths follow the same God, but have varying beleifs.
I only compare protestant and Muslims on the same level that they in their minds beleive that they have the full truth of their faith and exercise it as that.

I don’t think I’m ready for the position of pope myself, or ever will be.

Jews and Muslims have the same standing on the issue of Jesus. Any non Abraham God religions completely deny God/trinity, so it is biased to turn on the Muslims and point fingers. You almost sound like a terrorist/militant in your bias towards the Muslims.

CHristians ahouldn’t have to vent, expecially toward our neighbors, second most important thing (Love thy neighbor) a Christian should have to do. You make a point though that I am going to use. You vent against a group and you sound ignorant and mislead on your facts/info. Now you need to vent against them and you feel such anger right? Picture a Muslim family in Iraq, just living an average life, then we come dropping bombs and attacking their country, we now are interferring with a culture and religion in the region. They now want to vent their anger and this leads to riots and pervertion of the truth by leaders like Bin Laden. They in their anger listen to biased and ignorant info and vent out loud too, now we have both sides venting on biased info and sounding ignorant and then anger and violence erupt.

it’s not about muslims, it’s about Islam…love your neighbor yes, but love false teachings NO but expose them.
