If you were castaway on a tropical island and could have only one book with you (besides the Bible) what would it be? Choose from the above or list your own.
I do believe you are incorrect, my friend. It was penned by The Professor of Gilligan’s Isle. That man did incredible things with coconuts and vines.I would bring my copy of How to Build a Cell Phone Using Only Coconuts and Sand by Getme Outtahere.
Well, I have to agree w/ WD…The US Army Survival Guide by all means.Plenty of spiritually edifying material in the Bible, I chose the Army Guide which would help me with my bodily needs in this situation.
I have the complete 4 volume set of the Liturgy of the Hours and I read it daily…it is a model for daily prayer and devotion and I absolutely love it.
You have the boxed set??? Phew!!! smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_17_209.gifCode:

Hey is that the one that is a companion piece to How to Build a Shortwave Radio out of Coconuts and SeaWater by The Professor (of Gilligan’s Island fame) ?I would bring my copy of How to Build a Cell Phone Using Only Coconuts and Sand by Getme Outtahere.
So do IWell, I have to agree w/ WD…The US Army Survival Guide by all means.
Man JC - You take all the fun out of deserted islands…Here’s my take on this question;
If God sends me to a deserted tropical Island, I guess I can take the hint that I did something to tick him off and I am there for penetential purposes. Since it is tropical, not desert, that tells me that God does not intend my doom, but rather a more intimate relationship with me; therefore I need to spend time reading the Bible and praying…the Divine Mercy comes to mind. I think that’s all I’ll need.
I’ll use the Army Survival Guide to figure out how to survive so that I can do my Penance properly, and offer it up for God’s intentions.
I’ve read the Army Survival Guide…some version of it…and I can tell you it’s got some GREAT info! Preservation of both the Bible and the Guide would be key, however. Moisture is not good for paper products.
