I am pasting a reply to another person here…
"It is something that a good priest has to confirm. Usually they would work with a good doctor and try to rule out potential culprits.
The priest can perform various tests to figure out what is going on. …Reactions to sacraments, incense, scriptures etc.
It can be tricky as there can be overlap.
Like schizotypal symptoms and demonic activity making it worse.
None of us are immune to the activity of the fallen angels messing with our thoughts, feelings, or attacking us (Just look at Padre Pio) but it is most unfortunate when people are unable to control their behavior due to them.
Finding a good priest who knows about them and how they work can be difficult today but these priests do exist. Getting permission of the Church to investigate and rule on it is also difficult in my experience."
"Deborah Lipsky wrote a good book on over coming spiritual attacks.
Get a good priest and use them as a regular spiritual director.
Pray the rosary, and turn your home into a place of prayer.
Play religious music.
At least one blessed icon or crucifix in each room. Saint Benedict Medals. Light blessed incense. Get Holy water, oil, and blessed and excised salt to bless your home and food.
Try to go to mass and confession often.
Saturate your life with Holy under a good director’s supervision.
If it is them…they are dangerous and you need to protect yourself. If not, no harm will come from glorifying God more.
Personally I had a family member who was dealing with demonic voices. It was initially confused with schizophrenia but eventually our priest figured it out was able to help and silence the voices. However we all have had to deal with various types of attacks since.
The Catholic Church has endorsed various books on the subject but I would not recommend reading them without good spiritual direction to guide you."
Do not deal with this on your own. It could be a mental disorder, it could be fallen angels, it could be both. Seek out a priest, and find a good catholic doctor who can help as well if you can.
God Bless
