Catholic apologist Clayton Bower passes away

Clayton was the first apologist I ever saw back in 1996. At the time, I was involved with a very liberal Newman Center, so hearing him give his talk WHERE WE GOT THE BIBLE was a very refreshing surprise. Throughout the years, I saw him a few times after that, and heard him again many times on St. Joseph’s Radio.

What a loss to the apologetics world to lose him! He used to write many articles for THIS ROCK in it’s early years. I always loved this one he wrote about the miters bishops wear: catholic.com/thisrock/1992/9203cust.asp

Sad news to hear this. For the short time I lived in San Diego ('96-'97), Clayton was a dear friend and brother in Christ and Rugby. Our shared love of the Church and “heaven’s game” was a treasured experience.
