EWTN Religious Catalogue has removed all materials about Daniel Mattson (His book, Live Shows etc.) except for a book of essays in which he contributed one essay.

Ignatius Press still sells his book but not “Desire of the Everlasting Hills”. I assume this is all due to the ongoing investigation, similar to what happened with the John Corapi scandal and the Francis Mary Stone Scandal. The website for “Desire” is also temporarily closed. 😦

Let’s hope if he is exonerated (found innocent) that these materials will be made available again!

That could be expected of a guilty person too.

I watched “Desire” a couple years ago.
They interviewed two homosexual men and a homosexual woman who had conversion experiences and pursued a chaste lifestyle.
I found their testimonies to be authentic and at times raw, and it made my heart ache.
This whole story has been so sad.

Well, I guess that would explain why he thinks that the child sex abuse crisis in the Church is a homosexual problem…

Jokes aside, for all we know, this could just be a misunderstanding, but it may also lead to an investigation that could shine more light on the situation. I guess pray for all involved and maybe buy some stock in Pitchfork Emporium.
