Why are Catholic bishops in America silent
With prominent elected officials who purports to be Catholic and support abortion

This, right here.Just because communication has not reached our ears, does not necessarily mean there is silence.
Second, why are so few Catholic laity involved in prolife? Why are so few Catholic laity working to elect prolifers? I personally complained to the alumni association when a pro abortion politician turned up at my “Catholic” alma mater. Maybe the diocese should do more, but too often laity are silent.
That’s just sweet.I even wrote about Archbishop Cordileone when he had the nerve to refer to sin as being sinful.
Yes, but does this apply to prochoice politicians? How about those voting on gay marriage? If so is it known to the public, or not!? Was there an official stance on the subject? Did the affected react or retract, any of them publicly?who has been excommunicated
I’m not sure what’s “just sweet” about it; it’s just a reporting of the facts based on the news story that was released when people within his Dioceses published a letter to the Pope asking for his removal, along with personal take on the issue. That’s just sweet.
Please, find me a youtube vid about the subject mentioned. I’m not from the US and don’t wanna get the research wrong.
This is the crucial variable. There are known politicians criticized publicly by bishops who have not in any way publicly retracted or reconsidered their position on abortion as a result of the bishop naming names.commenter:![]()

Maybe the problem is the laity are selectively silent. Laity are, egged on by a new circuit of websites, far more likely to speak out against bishops, or even the pope.
