Catholic Bishops Join Pro-Life Groups: De-Fund Planned Parenthood

When members of Congress vote today on revoking taxpayer funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business, the nation’s Catholic bishops are joining pro-life organizations in urging a yes vote.

In a letter the nation’s bishops sent to members of Congress yesterday, Cardinal Daniel DiNardo of Galveston-Houston urged lawmakers to vote for a resolution to ban federal funding of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. In the midst of a budget debate involving shared sacrifice and hard choices, Cardinal DiNardo wrote, “Whether to fund the largest abortion network in the country is not one of those hard choices.”

Action and prayers are necessary to stop the carnage.
We must never forget the public votes of ‘H Con Res 36’ - the votes to DEFUND Planned Parenthood.

PP is the largest abortion provider in the USA, and has gone international. And is significantly funded by our tax dollars.

Abortion is a crime against humanity - both the natural and moral laws.
It deprives the most innocent and most helpless of their God given right to life.
It is murder for convenience.
It violates God’s 5th Commandment - Thou shall not kill.
Since 1973 over 50 MILLION babies have been murdered in just the USA. - this is GENOCIDE.

What can we do - each of us should provide the voting lists of the above to our Diocese Bishop, our State Bishop Conferences, the USCCB and the Vatican.
Lack of knowledge must not be an excuse for appropriate action.

Catholics who voted not to DEFUND PP, are heretics and/or schismatics based upon the definition in the CCC #2089.
