Are there any Church rulings, or thoughts on the Catholic Church or Catholics and medicinal marijuana? Just wondering as I have not seen this come up yet.
Marijuana? :hey_bud: What’s that? Are there any Church rulings, or thoughts on the Catholic Church or Catholics and medicinal marijuana? Just wondering as I have not seen this come up yet.
The Church is not against any drug prescribed by a doctor to treat a medical condition. Are there any Church rulings, or thoughts on the Catholic Church or Catholics and medicinal marijuana? Just wondering as I have not seen this come up yet.
That doesn’t make it right!!Marajuana should become legal anyhow, not only for medical use. Half the country probably smokes it anyway, from all walks of life
Abortion & smoking pot are way two different things, You cannot compare them. There is really no sin in smoking weed except that it is illegal, & even a lot of our lawmakers etc smoke weed too even tho it`s illegal. That doesn’t make it right!!
Abortion is already legal. Are you saying that makes it right?
Regular use of “Weed” causes damage to the brain. It is a sin.Abortion & smoking pot are way two different things, You cannot compare them. There is really no sin in smoking weed except that it is illegal, & even a lot of our lawmakers etc smoke weed too even tho it`s illegal.
Nothing sinful about smoking, no more than smoking a cigarette, what about alcohol, that kills brain cells, and other things we put into our bodies kill brain cells too or cause other maladies. Smoke a joint, You may like it:shrug:Regular use of “Weed” causes damage to the brain. It is a sin.
Would you happen to have a source for that?even a lot of our lawmakers etc smoke weed too even tho it`s illegal.
Just living in the world is the source, don`t U listen to the news or read the newspaper. Police I kno for fact would bust people with pot & keep it for themselves, common knowledge, look at all our sports figures, Drs & Lawyers smoke, make no mistake about itWould you happen to have a source for that?
Compounding one sin with another makes it even worse!Just living in the world is the source, don`t U listen to the news or read the newspaper. I agree.Compounding one sin with another makes it even worse!
As a Catholic I assume you already know the Church teaching on the use of drugs but anyway here it is again and you will note that the use of drugs is a sin of grave matter when not taken solely for medicinal purposes.Hedonistic society, anything goes
I do not agree with what you wrote , no grave offence at all , there is a lot of things contrary to moral law but most of us do them anywayAs a Catholic I assume you already know the Church teaching on the use of drugs but anyway here it is again and you will note that the use of drugs is a sin of grave matter when not taken solely for medicinal purposes.
CCC 2291 The use of drugs inflicts very grave damage on human health and life. Their use, except on strictly therapeutic grounds, is a grave offense. Clandestine production of and trafficking in drugs are scandalous practices. They constitute direct co-operation in evil, since they encourage people to practices gravely contrary to the moral law.
Everything God created is beneficial to man, everything. He gave man knowledge to discover all the things he created & to use them, including hemp:thumbsup:god does not make mistakes hemp is the most benifical plant on the earth god created it that way how could a plant that is so benifical to man be illegal IN GOD WE TRUST ?forums.catholic-questions.org/images/smilies/confused.gif
