Folks: In some relation to this subject, sterilization movements etc:

Prisoners have had plenty of new drugs tested on them, African Americans had drugs tested on them for STD and in some cases were allowed to die having been given placebo’s so they could watch the progression of the diseases, the poor have always been tested for a variety of vaccines, drugs and sterilization.

There is a current movement via the Carlton Group to reduce the world population to 500K. This is so the can keep control of the masses. People need to wake up.
 
Wow. This tells me that the Catholic Church is really out of touch with the reality on the ground. Maternal and neonatal tetanus is responsible for tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of deaths in Africa every year. It is particularly prevalent in Kenya due both to the cultural tradition of at-home birthing and a distinct lack of medical facilities. So prevalent in fact that women tend to wait at least one week after giving birth to name the child because they know it probably will not survive.

But our government as well as Non-governmental Organizations around the world have been sterilizing women in the Third World against their will for 50 (or more) years now. It was right of the Bishops to raise concern. Hopefully their concerns were unwarranted in this case.

As vaccines have been tampered with in the past, vigilance in the present might be indicated.
 
I don’t understand. Unless the tetanus vaccine being used in this campaign is somehow kept separate from the tetanus vaccine administered after injury (possible, but logistically difficult I’d think), why the automatic assumption that there might be something sinister going on?

The age group being covered is related to the risks of tetanus related to childbirth and that should be an easily verifiable matter. This search result took all of 0.5 secs to get to.

I think that verifying via the appropriate channels might have been prudent before raising public concerns that might keep women from accepting a vaccine which is 98% effective in saving their offspring from the specter of tetanus. After all, if population control were the goal, why take steps to save the babies in the first place?

Sometimes, I think these kinds of things get sensationalized. One of the stories I quoted above references an event where Ethiopian women were sometimes tricked into contraceptive shots, while being told they were something else. Point is, past events have occurred to heighten vigilance, but the matter has been settled.

A country based on ethnicity forcing other people wishing to immigrate there to undergo sterilization? Shocking.

A lot of Israelis, including high level government officials, do not regard them as Jews. In fact, the Interior Minister called for the deportation of African immigrants and there have been many instances lately of mobs attacking Africans and their property in Israel.

Not everyone in Israel, including some powerful political figures, approved then and they certainly do not approve of their presence in Israel now.
