Indeed, if we followed that suggestion we would all have to leave.
Yes, we are all sinners. But you are confusing the difference between a sinner who honestly and sincerely repents (or seeking repentence) and strives to live according to the Spirit and one who obstinately and publicly justifies his sin. Two completely different things. And scripture treats them differently.

In Christ,

I prefer to call it an orientation because there is mounting evidence of prenatal hormonal disposition towards such, just like alcoholism. Doesn’t make the behavior right but might change the language of the Church a little.
Don’t let those who want you to believe that this disorder is a “gift from God” convince you of a lie. Shouldn’t there be a corollary to Godwin’s law that says using Satan gratuitously in an argument means you’ve ceded the argument?

Calm down, bones… I don’t believe that when goofyjim uses the term “orientation” that he is stating it as a “gift from God.”

Jim, even if alcoholism were proven to be caused by some genetic factor, it would still be considered disordered. Having an alcoholic “gene” will not magically correct the “orientation” to drink oneself to death or grant one persmission and absolution to do so. Anything that compels a person to sinful and harmful behavior, regardless of it’s origin, is disordered. The Church calls homosexuality intrinsically disordered because it is the compulsion to seek out something that is not ordered to the good.

Catholic Gays ARE the Church Authority! (bishops and cardinals, not the “Magisterium” as an entity!)

Everything God has given me is a gift. Everything I am and have is given by God. It’s all just a matter of what is done with it.

But when supposed Catholics commit a PUBLIC dishonor, scandal, etc., of the Church, then Bishops and priests have the DUTY to refuse communion. These heretics then have NO right to take communion.
