From EWTN News:

Religious liberty advocacy group the Catholic Association released a voter guide on Oct. 4 that gives a failing grade to President Obama on seven key religious freedom issues.

“The Obama Administration has put forth divisive policies and government regulations that ignore our First Amendment protections and erode the religious freedom of Catholics and people of faith,” said Maureen Ferguson, the group’s senior policy advisor.

…

In contrast to the score given to President Obama, the guide gives Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney an “A+” with regards to the seven religious liberty policies.

Dale, I wonder, did you read about the two listed members and their credentials? The fact that two officials in the organization are named doesn’t mean there are not other members.

I checked the Facebook page. Can an organization on Facebook fake Likes?
The Catholic Association

I also checked the polling outcomes on the webpage…at what point do we believe or reject any polls? If we personally have not conducted polls why would we take any on faith, and yet we do, or many of us do. And there are a lot of organizations that I stubble across on the net without any pre-knowledge…

I have the greatest respect for the integrity and competence of the OP, so I cannot lightly dismiss anything that she might share.
Regards, Trishie

This is not surprising at all. I definitely would flunk him on religious liberty if I were to give him a grade.

This is not at all surprising, given his left-wing roots.

And it’s a sobering sign that, without checks and balances, “left-liberal democracy” can slowly slide into something much worse. 😦

Even in communist China I do not think individuals are fined if they do not want to pay for products or services that go against their conscience

Yes, the two persons mentioned have credentials which establish them as Washington insiders. But it isn’t unknown for a small group of activists to declare themselves to be an organization, create some position statements and a website, then issue press releases.

I have never heard mention of this group before, so I was asking if anyone was familiar with them. If anyone knows more about the organization and its activities, I would enjoy reading their comments.

Trishie, you are too kind, thank you! :):o

Dale, to answer your question, I hadn’t heard of this organization before, either … however, since EWTN reported the story, I felt that it was worthy of being shared here, since I believe EWTN to be an honest news source.

Quite frankly, the Obama’s administration’s apparent contempt for the Catholic Church is very upsetting.

Really?

VA., FL, CO are all trending Romney. His national average is going up incrementally.

I like Michael Voris but where does he get the stat of a Romney victory less than 10%? Weird. Multiple polls show Romney up in Colorado, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. Soembodys calculation of the electoral college likely depends on what polls they are looking at. Most polls are using a model of 2008 turn out. Who thinks that turn out will reoccur in 2012?

Romney up huge with independents

He’s way off. Intrade inches up daily, he is gaining in non-tossup states, and this is assuming more democrats vote than Republicans, as the polls assume.

He’s not a pollster.
