The Irish are very loyal Catholics. Someone did something right over there.
Let me remind you my friend that if you knew your history concerning the Catholic church and the Crusades and the Inquisition, you’d likely know that Catholics were justified in the Crusades. THANK GOD FOR THE CRUSADES because you’d be Muslim now. Remember, the Muslims started this and the Catholics just defended themselves.Absolutely! Nothing like the slaughter of innocent Jews in Muslims after entering Jerusalem in 1099. I’d be excited too!
If I had said this I think you’d have probably disagreed with me.most younger Irish people are secularists and the majority border on agnostic, church attendance has fallen of massively in the last 20 years or so
When has “it” taught error? Nothing has been contradicted regarding doctrine and dogma. But it has taught error. Therefore would you call the Catholic Church is not what you calim it to be,
Well, that could be true, because as I understand it, the Reformation was a wake up call to the hierarchiy of Holy Mother Church, so perhaps not as many died outside her grace as there might have been had her clergy not cleaned up their act.Hus that Jesus Christ, and not the Pope, was the supreme judge.

My opinion is less souls were lost because of the Reformation thtn if there had not been one. Of course there is no way of knowing
Them apologize for the lies they spread? Why, sure as pigs fly! It’s not true. Pius IX never wrote what was attributed to him above. Rad should apologize. I could never get Fr Ambrose to apologize after making such blunders. But, that would be the kind thing to do.
Opinion not backed by facts yet again.Hus that Jesus Christ, and not the Pope, was the supreme judge.

I think you mean here www.reformation.com ?
And in your blindness you can’t see the truth, oing on and on about something that has already been refuted. My God the Lord God of Isreal is the same today as He was yesterday and will be tomorrow.
He is a God of holiness who expects His people to be holy. He gave of Himself to us so that we can walk in His statuates and His commandments.
He judged and chastised the children of Isreal when they departed from HIm.
If He is the same today as He was then would He not judge and chastise us?
The Roman Catholic Church has been judged but in the hardness of your heart you have not seen it.
I doubt that very much. It actually caused a lot of people to pray even more fervently for conversion. Some of the great saints came out during this time. The debauchery that was prevailant prior to 1500 turned many souls away from God and toward darkness.
Prove that there were souls lost because of them. Those who were debauched were the ones who were lost if they were at all, not those around them. They never taught them to do bad things even when they were doing it themselves.Do you have no compasssion for the lost souls wich were the result of the sins of Roman heirarchy?
And what claims have we made? That we are perfect? That we not sinners? Never.Yes protestants have commited every sin known to mankind.
Protestants dont make the outlandish claims that Roman Catholics do.
And how did you graft yourself unto Israel? The Catholic Church IS THE NEW ISRAEL.I have been grafted unto Isreal I have not replaced her. I am a member of Christ Church not some exclusive church that denies the very body of Christ.
The church does not teach the baptized have no hope for salvation, although that is generally the case, there can be exceptions. The thief on the cross for example.Errors of the Church:
Everyone must be under the authority of the pope to be saved.
There is no salvation for those who commit suicide.
The unbaptised have no hope of salvation.
You’ve got a point there.Well, that could be true, because as I understand it, the Reformation was a wake up call to the hierarchiy of Holy Mother Church, so perhaps not as many died outside her grace as there might have been had her clergy not cleaned up their act..
You have just demonstrated ignorance. Of course there were excesses. Also perhaps you should delve into history more and learn EXACTLY what took place during those times.Absolutely! Nothing like the slaughter of innocent Jews in Muslims after entering Jerusalem in 1099. I’d be excited too!
Aye, this is the reason I am no longer a RC. It is hard to discover the history, and the people who made the decisions. When I first heard of this, it was taught to me by an ex-nun who married an ex-priest. I was too young at the time to know the ways of mankind, and fled from the church as though the hounds of Hell were after me. In truth, I believed they were.Has anyone else delved into Catholic history and found the utter corruption and moral depravity shocking? I find it hard to really be proud of my Catholic roots when there is sooooooo much corruption in it. I wish it was one or two isolated incidences but corruption and lust for power seem to pervade every second of the Church’s history. And it continues to this day.
Read through the thread. The answers to your accusations have already been gone over a few times. Hopefully, you will not be as blind and deaf as the others who have heard the truth and still prefer to believe the lies.Aye, this is the reason I am no longer a RC. It is hard to discover the history, and the people who made the decisions. When I first heard of this, it was taught to me by an ex-nun who married an ex-priest. I was too young at the time to know the ways of mankind, and fled from the church as though the hounds of Hell were after me. In truth, I believed they were.
It almost seemed as though Satan himself led the church.
I have grown much since then, and realize what Mother Superior told me when I was freaking out over this information. I didn’t understand it at the time, because I thought that the church had Jesus at its head and therefore was perfect. She told me that people make mistakes, and anything man has a hand in is bound to be as corrupted as he is.
That’s why we need Jesus, as no man is perfect. None are infallible. However, I chose not to speak of the events and church leadership.
Nothing against the Roman Catholic Church, but they have to open their eyes. The beast known as the main Anti-Christ is coming. What more could Satan want than to have a bunch of people believing that their church is perfect and their Pope is infallible. Trick one, and you get billions of followers.
We should be thankful that the Crusades and Inquisitions were authorized. We should be ashamed at some of the excesses.
Hey guys - stop right there and think!Aye, this is the reason I am no longer a RC. It is hard to discover the history, and the people who made the decisions.
